FSO Polonez agrees, but TOP GEAR spoke badly of it. It is a durable car if it is cared for. Many of them still drive around Poland, this model from the movie as well as newer ones, and the cars are doing great. The white car is a Fiat 125p, an Italian construction, unfortunately already extinct.
There both FSO's, the blue one is 1989 1600cc, the silver one is 1986 1300cc. They have been off the road since 1992, which would explain the tree growing up through it. Shame to mention you had an RS2000 in the same comment as an FSO. But the RS2000, now that was a car. Great find thanks.
Two kitties
Hi I think you might be right!😀👍👍👍I hope so the kittys did look in great condition.
“Oh my god there’s an escort!!”
Prince Andrew’s famous words 😂😂😂😂
Joking aside
Top content as usual
@20:48 I reckon he's probably had a "Goblin Teasmade" in his bedroom too! 😲
First two cars were the FSO Polonez as you said and the other is a FSO 125p but is actually based on a FIAT iirc. I was lucky enough to see them at a Motor Show at Belle Vue,Manchester in the late 70’s. Sadly my photos are long gone now but I bet my mum still has all the car brochures I used to collect over a seven year period
Fascinating, explore. Agree 100% on the sadness of these lives which are being forgotten...Wedding photos at 16mins show RAF groom & best man (?), without a closer look can't be sure if ground or aircrew. There also appears to be a group photo near to them, potentially of a class from a training/induction course.@ 20.45 is a tea making machine/alarm clock! The TV's at 24
40 are way older than the space programme!
I must admit I get very emotional especially when you see how much they loved their dogs.
I’ve watched a couple of explores where the cats dogs were left to die!😭😭😭
I feel the same... You took the words from my mouth.........
@@jeffhubbard5660 Hi Jeff I have 5 cats they are all very old I think I stole them as I thought they were strays!😂just kidding I took them in as my old neighbours died!
The FSO Polonez was one of the cheap Eastern Bloc cars of the day. My neighbour used to run one as a taxi. Lada was another example of that class of car. Double the value, fill it with petrol! It always saddens me to see houses like this crammed with contents and left to decay. The story of someone’s past life is in there. It’s sad that it has been trashed like that.A fantastic location guys, loved your explore.
When my parents got really old, they couldn't manage the cleaning anymore ,and their flat, which had once been pristine, became very dirty and messy. They both went into homes eventually, and I cleared and sold the flat, but if they'd had no children ,the flat would still be there, empty and decaying, just like this house, so I can understand how this happens.
The FSO Polonez. I haven't seen one since the 1990s. Jeremy Clarkson drove one on his DVD Apocolypse Clarkson. And he played conkers with it. So much fascinating stuff in this video. I bet if the walls could talk there would be some fascinating stories told
The FSO Polonez is a motor vehicle that was developed in Poland in collaboration with Fiat and produced by Fabryka Samochodów Osobowych from 1978 to 2002. It was based on the Polski Fiat 125p platform with a new hatchback design by Giorgetto Giugiaro.
Predecessor: FSO Polonez Caro
@Jambo Absolutely 👍👍👍
I remember my eldest brother with his Polonez he was studying physics and done very well in later life I always joked about his posh polish car!😂😂
Yes, I worked at a Garage that had franchise to sell and service FSO’s in the eighties. They also did a 125P saloon and a pickup truck based on the saloon. The build quality from factory was terrible, only they were very cheap. They are extremely rare now, as most have rusted away.
In the room with the books there was some test equipment left (around 19:35), looks probably like a signal generator and the other two could be scopes. These and the large amount of TV sets lead me to believe that somebody there was into repairing electronic equipment.
The piano is probably the most interesting find in this house, this isn't just an ordinary piano but a pianola which means that it is a piano that can play on it's own. It would be programmed with compositions registered on paper rolls through a door right behind the photo.
The device at 20:47 is a Teasmade tea cooker and alarm clock.
Now it almost looks like the house had been used as a dump, maybe for some reason the stuff that used to be in the empty shed was taken into the house, who knows.
I love old books … Always take the time to look through the decorative ones you find in pubs ..
It was really common to write messages in the cover to the recipient or to leave a note in the book ..
Takes you back in time
spirit cloud at 20:24 going from left to right, great explore boys as always!
Much love to you guys you show such respect when you visit your finds how these places just get left for decades someone most own them surely it's beyond me and rare cars that easily have been sold and saved
Thanks guys , it does pull on ur heart strings 💛 But it is interesting on what other people had ,
Enjoyed the video What a sad wee place and got to wonder what happened to them Thankyou both for sharing
Great car finds! I've got a plastic promotional FSO Polonez pin badge that I got from the Scottish Motorshow in 1989. I also drove one in my pals yard when I was 14. He got it for ten pounds to rag around the place, F525USX.
Wow. A true time capsule house. Gotta watch your step. You don't know what's under your feet. A real shame it's been left like this. Thanks for taking us with you on this dodgy explore.
Nudder great Vid Colin - and as always a bit of laughter from yerself & Stu - nice find with the FSO'S - Look forward to the next one
THE COFFEE TABLE F.S.O. none left now..due to rust
great find ,thanks for taking us around with you lv Ann uk 🇬🇧
Great explor Colin so much to see and it's a shame all this is left thanks for sharing
Another great explore.Always know when you two are together it's going to be interesting.xx
FSO Polonez (restyling model), Fiat 125 mechanic with different body and Polski Fiat 125 P (carosery Fiat 125 Special, mechanic one generation older Fiat 1500) - both cars were made in Poland in communist times. In essence all of them - Ladas, Polonez, Polski Fiat is Fiat 124/125.
A lot of them in my country in the 80s .
That was a great explore guys - really enjoyed it thank you 🥰❤️ the little cat was cute too
I seen two cat's
Great stuff 👍
Hi Collin & Stew. Hope you two are doing well.
That was one very cool video, sad but cool. Those old pictures were cool to see.
Stay safe and take care.
Once again you set out to please!
Was catching up on your old explores all afternoon!😀😀
Thank you for taking us along. Sorry if you find the Mexico it's mine I lost 30 years ago 😁 I wish. 👍👍😁
Drove a new fso in 1987. Was old fiat technology on a newer body. 1500cc and 5 speed. Was 5995 punts at that time. Hens teeth now.!never seen at car shows. Bought a sierra sapphire in 1998 instead.wow what a car!
Polish Fiat 125p and this Polonez, amazing find!
Loved watching this keep up with the awesome finds
Years ago I did banger racing, FSO's were popular cars due to their strength, they seemed to fail the MOT drastically at quite an early age and ended up in scrapyards or in the hands of racers. I think corrosion, scarcity of some parts and very low values condemned many to an early demise, it wasn't unheard of to see an FSO on the banger track after failing it's first or second MOT!
Great video Colin love the team up with stu again you make a great team love both your channels thanks.
Wow guys those FSO’s are mad rare! Great video as always!
Another wonderful exploration gents. So sad to see the photographs, forgotten and left to rot and ruin. A while ago, helped do a clean out of a rental house and came across several photo albums. Tried my best to locate the people to no avail. So sad there were baby pics, weddings, parties, Christmas, etc just left. Nobody knows the history of these people and forgotten, just saddens me.
Be safe, Cheers 👊👍
I remember visiting a boot sale where people who done house clearances came and emptied their vans to sell stuff before they went to the dump. I found it sad seeing personal items and photo albums of a forgotten life.
@@elisahamilton73 I know, it's so sad, and perhaps disrespectful in a way.
I remember them FSO use to come in red blue and yellow they was rust buckets didn't last long
I reckon that house been left 15 to 20 years but yea I agree with you pulls on your heart strings
You always remind me, personal belongings are worthless. Cool to see things from my childhood, cars the lot.
Another brilliant video 👌
I luv ur vids bro! Every single 1 seems 2 keep me interested! U always find the best of the best! 😊 Keep it up bro seeing all them cars jus rotting away is a shame but deffo makes the vid! ❤️✌️👍
A good explore guys 😎
All the best 🍻👍🏻
Thanks buddy 🔥😎
I've seen a spotless FSO Polonez driving through Brislington, a couple of times. I think it was either white or cream coloured.
Thanks great video
Excellent, I’d be less surprised if you’d found a Ferrari F50... but an FSO Polenz, Poland finest.. just 7 recorded as being on the road in the UK.. you found a unicorn
There’s one in daily use in East Kilbride. I’ve spotted it a few times
LOL...now that would be rare!😂👍
No but I’m a Capricorn!😂
@@sarahsulivan4546 close enough!
Its Polonez.
Great vid as always. I would love to come out with you both and do an explore in an old building, 👍
You pair are brilliant together 👍🏻
" hay " you never disappoint with these videos another top one thanks for sharing stay safe my friend 😀👍
I had one of those goblin teasmaid given to me by my nan
Another enjoyable video 👍😎
Excellent really enjoyed this one
There's an FSO behind a dump near where I live, it's been there for about 35 years and it's basically just the running gear now😂
Licence built FIAT copies abound ! The lighter coloured one at the start is a copy of the Fiat124, as copied by Lada, Seat, and other companies in India, Turkey, Korea, etc.
Niespodziwałem się, że kiedyś znajdzie nasz samochodopoodobny wyrób xD
Oglądasz swój ulubiony kanał spokojnie a tu nagle spierdolonez.
ⁿĺ
Wow!! Amazing
As always a respectful exploration. 👍
Was an orb roundabout 20.23. Probably the owners spirit. Great explore Colin and Stokzy thank you xx
Wish I new where this was. I’m not joking the couple on the left of that wedding line up photo on the piano looked so much like my gran and grandad, and I know my aunts married someone in the RAF at the time, which would of been about 65 years ago, looks so much like them.
@4.40, The Lada & FSO were based on the Fiat 124
I worked for an FSO franchised garage in the eighties. Hundreds of those Polonez went through the workshop to new owners. The build quality from factory was not great, although they were very cheap cars at the time. Recently did some searching to see if any are still around on UK roads. It seems almost all have rusted away. As well as the Polonez, they also had a 125P saloon and a Pickup truck based on the 125P. All were based on old technology but were very rugged vehicles.
I also worked at Grouprange Cars in Surrey...we swapped FSO for Lada and Proton and became Shield Motor Group...
Enjoying this video so far bro banger as usual 👊❤️
Thanks bro 🔥😎
How do these houses end up abandoned and full of stuff still? And why aren't they sold instead of being left to rot?
Great video.I do like the polonez and fiat as I'm polish.👍😊
Heya guys I love watching your videos there really great ans soooo interesting to.... much much respect to you both as you enter soo carefully and try not to touch anything either... its soo sad to see these homes just being left to nature and just rotting away... it would be nice if someone could let you dig the cars out :):) but... the way you treat it all soo so carefully it's great:):)
Yet another great find shame about the amount of growth be great to see what’s laying about there
Great explore the place seems to give off a sad feeling and leaves you wondering what happened??
Cold War Cars are a club that caters for the Fso's. The bike is a Raleigh RSW16 I think.
I had two FSO Poloness's in the past and found them very good and fast for what they were.
Hi Colin and stu great explore guys I would love too now how you find out where these locations are
Mad that alot of people will never reach the start of the property ladder, yet other family's who get left these properties, can just leave them too rot! Pure madness!
I've drove an FSO Polonez, wasn't memorable. The white one looks like the 125p. They are D 86/7 and F 88/9 and considering by 7 or 8yrs old the FSO Cars were dead (they were awful Mechanically and for Rust) I reckon mid 90s they've been there since. The FSO Polonez Fan Club has 23500 subscribers so they must be still popular in their own back yard Poland. Great Video!
Sad to see that the place has been rifled through .
Right its famous Cars in my country. FSO Polonez or FSO 125p. Nice guys nice good luck and I'm waiting for next movie.
Cool video mate but I wish ud not point the camera at stokzies bottom bit unsettling that 🤣🤣🤣
Just great 👍
The FSO polonez is so cool
My first boss had a red FSO, built like a tank. His wife stamped on the wrong peddle and went through a wall with minimal damage. Dog to drive though. Great vid as ever
Those things that stick to you are known as Goosegrass, Cleavers or Sticky Willy.
Geese particularly enjoy eating it - hence the nickname Goosegrass! You can hear geese constantly 'honking' throughout the video when you're outside.
Up until last year there was am old boy use to drive an FSO polonez around Milton Keynes but I've not seem it in a while it was in great condition for what it was
Second car near Polonez is Fiat 125P from same factory in Poland..all best from Makedonija..👍🇲🇰
Hi guys, I was wondering how your getting on with the bmw 7 series you rescued. 👍
Excellent Polonez. There's the odd video of some British ones on my channel.
Colin you will have to take a sneaky pair of shears with you and do some snipping off camera
Last time it was a "river" when it was a stream
And today it's a" forest" when it's just an over grown garden..hahaha..city folks!!
Wish I coulda seen the Ford escort clearer I have sat in my garage a Ford escort xr3i start of plate is a E the one on this video started with P mind doesn't work but still looks in good condition
Could you possibly go back when the leaves have fallen. Great video again
See you bin sticking your stickers about popped in my local McDonald's at Polegate near Eastbourne and there it was on the bollard on the drive through 👍👍🤣
That D reg FSO was an ‘87 plate, last taxed in 93. 6 years and it was off the road.
We used to own a fso back in the early 90’s. Had it a week until my mum took it back. It used to spin out in the rain at 10mph 😂
23.25 mins..saw the black and white cat peeking round the corner at u lol
Wow for a small second I thought you found an Acorn Archimedes computer on the floor.
Blue one polonez fso
Another one its ,,Duży Fiat „ - Big Fiat
top stuff mates and the car well another less on the road
Defo need to take some hedge clippers on your adventures to trim back those bushes.
Then FSO Polonez,s where not a bad car, back in the mid 80s my boss bought one and it was a very reliable car, they where cheap n cheerful but yet quite quick if i remember rightly they where 1,6 with a twin choke carb on them and they would stay with a 1,6 Escorts but unfortunatly lacked the handling qualities of the escort, i drove the FSO many times and it seemed fine to me and i think it had done about 102,000 before it got traded in for a Mk3 escort,
My dad had a lada 1600 and we’d laugh at the guy who had an FSO Polenez round the corner. To me though they were the same. I even rode in that car and it was more like the lada than you think. BTW, that’s a D reg. 1986.
Thats not a lada but a fiat 124. But in early seventies vaz/lada started build cars based on that model with their own engines...
Fiat had stopped production much earlier than the year indicated by the registrations.
Wow there’s a lot of cars
One of my dogs hates those brown things as he gets covered in them sometimes and takes forever getting them out of his fur.
LADA 2106 - i now drive this car - surprisingly see in England
