- Hello Everyone, we are now at Hopewell rocks, New Brunswick.
For thousands of years, the massive tides of the Bay of Fundy have been sculpting this in Hopewell Cape, in New Brunswick. As we can see there are over twenty free-standing sea stacks closely standing within two kilometers of shoreline. These sea stacks, also known as flowerpots, come in different variety of sizes and shapes. These sea stacks were given different whimsical names of Elephant, Bear, Dinosaur, ET, and even Mother-in-Law. Hopewell rocks is a must place to visit when you are out for Atlantic Canadian vacation. But sure to check our tide times prior to your visit to see when it will be safe to explore our Ocean Floor. Because after every six hours, high and low tides transform the Ocean Floor in ways that you wouldn’t believe it's possible.
The Hopewell Rocks Provincial Park is designed to be a self-guided park. You will see few interpretive staff are available throughout the grounds to answer any questions you may have. The park recommends Sturdy footwear while exploring the trails and shoreline. The Park admission is valid for two consecutive days to ensure you have the flexibility to see both high and low tides.
The Hopewell Rocks Provincial Park has big parking lot at the Main Entrance. There's also EV charging spot in the parking lot. There is an Interpretive Centre where you can get information about the sea stacks, rock formation and many other things. There is also a souvenir center inside Interpretive Centre.
The Hopewell Rocks Provincial Park has three primary access points to the Ocean Floor. From the Main Entrance you can take the shuttle service or walk through the trails to go to the Main Deck. We always enjoy walking through trails. The Ocean Floor Access Trail is 800 meters or 10 to 15 minute's walk from the Main Entrance to Main Deck. At the Main Deck you will see spacious viewing platform and large metal staircase to go down to the to the Ocean Floor.
