Has this community just come to seeing every negative thing? Like, what? Seriously, can no one see that sega is trying to do their best to please the ever changing demand for its game?
If you take, for example, (as some people argue about this) goat simluator, its funny right? But no ome complains about the bugs then?
Onto graphic design. It takes weeks to create a 3d model, animate it, sort out its ai and code, before adding the scenery, which is more graphic design, before finnaly adding it to the game.
So, uh, why complain about stuff that dosen't cause that much harm? Because if you appreciate what there is, you won't notice the small differences and changes that you usually hate.

I think I know what's the main problem with Sonic Forces that makes the game feel so lacking. But first, let me compare the Modern Sonic levels in this game to the levels of Sonic 1 on the genesis. Green Hill in Sonic 1 introduced a lot, it introduced loops, the fact that sonic has physics, and a lot of new enemies. Then Marble Zone introduces moving blocks, lava, dropping spikes, and new enemies. Then Spring Yard Zone introduces spring balls that bounce sonic around and more new enemies. Labyrinth Zone introduces drowning and new enemies. And Scrap Brain introduces a whole bunch of new mechanics and obstacles and enemies. Now lets compare it to Sonic Forces levels. Green Hill modern introduces running, boosting, how to use the homing attack, and these 2 basic enemies that exist to either be boosted through or homing attacked, they pose no threat at all, the first enemy in the game literally does nothing but stand there and wait to die. Then in Egg Gate, it introduces grinding, which would've been good but grinding is literally the game playing itself, only requiring you to click left or right to go to another rail. Also it introduces those laser robots that shoot at you on grinds. Then Luminous Forest introduces nothing but those purple robots that run and wait to be boosted through. Then Sunset Heights introduces zip lines, which is more of the game playing itself. Then Network Terminal introduces the only good mechanic in a modern sonic level, the purple water that both acts like a threat but also helps platform move, being a threat and a help. If only more mechanics like this were in the game. Then Modern Sonic's final level, Mortar Canyon introduces, DUN DUN DUNNNNNNN, nothing. It's literally just boosting and spamming the jump button through the whole level. Now, this is the main problem of Forces. Lack of creativity. The levels aren't creative, their mechanics aren't creative, the enemies aren't creative and pose literally no threat. In my run down of Sonic 1, it's clear that the game showed players new mechanics and new enemies in every zone, keeping it fresh and giving you a purpose to keep playing, to experience new mechanics. Meanwhile in Forces, new mechanics for the most part are just automated sections, and the new enemies, how few they are, do nothing but wait to be boosted and/or homing attacked. Forces has boring locations. 3 of the 7 locations in the game are just recycled from other games. The city is boring, it's just a city, we don't know what the name of it is or anything, it's just called, "The city." The forest looks admittedly pretty cool with a nice casino theme added in. The metropolis is boring looking for a single reason, lack of color. It's entirely white and blue. What happened to the cool looking Metropolis from Sonic Heroes, that level was colorful and had cool mechanics, it's miles better than the metropolis in Forces. And lastly is the Eggman Empire, it's nothing special, just a generic metal spire. Sonic Forces' lack of creativity is its biggest problem.

Jason Griffith even said himself not to long ago he’d love to be Sonic again. And they’ve kept Mike Pollock this entire time. All Sega has to do is recast Sonic with Griffith. Plus even though Roger Smith has done a great job, I still prefer Ryan or Jason Sonic any day.

it was so dull and boring and uninspired...I just...beat it, and later on when I was watching tv I was all "maybe I should do more sonic forces" and loaded up and realized I had already beat it.
It's such a boring, dull, forgettable game. Thank god Sonic Generations mods keep me coming back to that game
