As an autistic person I can definitely confirm that we really love these things I made my boyfriend set one of mine up in his room for whenever i go over to his place
A sensory swing is usually for kids/adults-with disables my brother has astusim and itâs post to calm him down! But also anyone can use it! I hope this helps ppl understand more what itâs for and if itâs for you!
@@ariella.- yes of course! As I also have ADHD it does calm you down! And itâs really good! But people have different types of ADHD so if you need to be more calm and happy! And more stress free and to relax this is for you! I got mine from Amazon and I put it up on my door frame! Also you can hang it anywhere I hope this helps! :)
yeah i get anxiety alot now days, and i think this would help me calm down..im not diagnosed with it or anything..but i think i could use a space to calm down yk? its nor fun being randomly anxious.
My brother used to use a few, it can help with loud noises and make you feel safer for people that struggle with things like that, but of course others can use it as well, i may have stole it a few times đ
Yeah that had the opposite effect for me it would kill me I would probably have a panic attack and die I do not like being confined like that I don't even like cuddling when I'm sleeping....no
I did class with these kind of silks and I have one of my own, but their not like a chair like these, they are like climbing a rope but as a silk. And we do tricks on them like flips, and tying our feet to the silk and dropping through the silk
I absolutely love that autism sensory products have become so popular an then get annoyed by the ppl who have autistic children an often call the police on them or cps I love how autism is trendy on social an frowned on in real life lol love it
Me and my siblings always used to do this. We'd take my mom's cloak or curtains and we'd tie knots on either a door knob or the window rail and make a hammock and just sleep there lmao.
I have one because my neighbor actually co owns a business that sells sensory products and a year or two ago my sister and I modeled for them, so we each got a free product and it has held up very well!
While everyone can use these, they do feel odd if you aren't the targeted audience. They're for autistic kids, high ADHD and anxiety based kids/people. It's an easy way to let them calm down as it stimulates the feeling of a "safe space".
In india people put their babies in soft cotton cloth/sari and hang it up like this swing. And swing it to make the baby sleep. Its called 'tottulu' in Tamil.
This is very common in India for babies for ages. Usually in villages they use sarees of mom's or grandma's which will give the babies a sense of being cuddled. My grandma would tie one for me till I was in 10th grade this is cool to sleep in and it's a absolute heaven when someone rocks it with a lullaby. đ
Itâs actually not called a centrist mean itâs actually called an area rug you can do drops tricks and a bunch more on it and youâre not just put a synonym thereâs one called a leg strap drop that you can also do but make sure to use it the right way
we have a sensory swing and a bunch of other stuff for our autism class in school, we also have a sensory room for anyone who gets overstimulated in the hall ways
Omg, where can I buy this ? I love 'thottil' , it's what we use to make our kids sleep till they join school. They usually are made with mom's old cotton saree , that is really soft . I used to sleep in it till 5 years ,then I grew bigger and the saree couldn't hold my weight . I still remember being inside it and having a whole little world for myself inside that . I miss it . If it will hold my weight , I'm buying this asap.
since I usually go to the support unit my school has so many of these! Mainly children with autism use this to calm themselves down and I really wanna get one!
Ok so funny story. People in India use a bedsheet or a really long fairly strong bit of fabric to do this for their kids. Itâs typically used as a cradle for newborns but almost anyone can sit in itâŠ
Fun fact . My mom sister had this in her room she would let us go in her room and play it was really fun. I always used to play with my baby cousin we always pretend like we were in a scary movie or do a role-play. It was really fun and especially since she had a big closet we used to run around there and return like we were like running đđ€Ł
Oh god, in my country we do this for babies when the mom is too tired or has something to do. The swing will bounce a little bit like a mother giving a pat to the baby, so the baby won't woke up or cry
It reminds me when I was younger and I had a bunk bed, I would tie a blanket to the bars underneath the top bunk, and then sit in the blanket like this.
OMG!!! My friends used to have that when we were little!!!! We would swing around the whole room one at a time all the time đ
Same but that was for baby's to sleep right?
@@User_34556. I donât think so. It was in a separate room made for my friends to do gymnastics. A baby would probably suffocate in there đł

I have adhd not autism but adhd does have to do with sensory so I think I would like it
i have really bad anxiety and adhd and i went to the y and they had them in this room and it was very calming

Who would not like a swing in their house?
I would be so scared to do that lol. I bet it feels like youâre being hug!!đ
I have one of those â€ïžâ€ïž. You can use it for tricks too! I use to go to a class to learn tricks on them!!

Those are mainly used for neurodivergent people and as a neurodivergent person I love these so much and they used for more than just fun
this is one of the most amazing things ever.
I've tried one of them and its incredible I may get it in the future.
POV: *it randomly falls on a Friday afternoon*
The everyone is talking about how much they need a sensory swing but no oneâs talking about how she double blessed herself
Me and my siblings always used to do this. We'd take my mom's cloak or curtains and we'd tie knots on either a door knob or the window rail and make a hammock and just sleep there lmao.
Hey those are basically a variation of a aerial hammock! Aerial hammocks are used for acrobatics, I've been doing it for 4 years!
Oh my gosh this was 10 seconds ago đđâ€ïžâ€ïž I love you Natalie
I have one because my neighbor actually co owns a business that sells sensory products and a year or two ago my sister and I modeled for them, so we each got a free product and it has held up very well!
I sooo need one of these!!!!! I can feel my anxieties fading already
I want one!! But dose it come with the hock that goes into the ceiling? Or how do u assemble it/what does it come with??
This would honestly be the best place to cry or just spend time alone, I need one ;-;
Just bought one! Can't wait for it to get here!
I broke my tail bone when the clip broke đ„Č
When i was a baby... My mom would make me sleep in this kind of cloth swing...
And still today a lot of parents here in my country do this...
That kinda looks like the swing my parents bought for my brother when he was first born
These can usually be found in schools for kids with disabilityâs, (mainly autism) to help calm them down when overwhelmed ^^
âI got a senswowy sweengâ
Yeah at my physical therapy I go to we have one of those and it really helps me
I can only imagine my boyfriend coming in the room and freaking out when he sees a big sac in the room
That looks so cosy:0000

No it's not, this is a sensory swing and it's made for autistic people. The thing you are describing is completely different.
I did the same thing with a hammock and it's glorious
OmgâŠthis looks so comfortable
we have a sensory swing and a bunch of other stuff for our autism class in school, we also have a sensory room for anyone who gets overstimulated in the hall ways

We did this with with normal blankets in Philippines, its always so fun

Swing all day in that day like that is so awesome
I have this exact one, your meant to tie it when you get it because the people who make it donât tie it well enough
Looks like a cocoon I love itđđ â€
Thatâs actually an aerial hammock so you can also do aerial silk knot drops with that
Nope, thatâs a sensory swing. Silk ropes tend to be thinner and donât fit people like that.
Fun fact .
My mom sister had this in her room she would let us go in her room and play it was really fun. I always used to play with my baby cousin we always pretend like we were in a scary movie or do a role-play. As an autistic person, 9/10 can recommend, the only downside is drilling it into your ceiling or buying a ÂŁ100 stand (we had to get a stand)
I donât have that but I have a humic swing. Similar but I lobe using it for silks, swing, chair, hamic and more
Do you have the link? This looks so fun
I have that on my list for Christmas đâ!
It reminds me when I was younger and I had a bunk bed, I would tie a blanket to the bars underneath the top bunk, and then sit in the blanket like this.
Iâm pretty sure that is a hammock you can Do cool tricks on it you can look it up if you want to theyâre called aerial silk hammock drops drop
I donât have autism but dang I could sit there draw, play my iPad, or just sit there. It looks amazing.
