How to make one of Guyana’s national dishes| shrimp fried rice| baked chicken Guyanese style 🇬🇾

- Rice preparation
4 cups of rice washed and seasoned
Add 2 tbsp green seasoning (garlic, green onions, thyme and pepper)
Add 2 tsp salt
Add 1 tsp black pepper
Add 1/2 tsp five spice powder
Add 1 tsp fried rice seasoning
Add 2 tbsp Chinese sauce
Add to a pressure cooker
Add 5 1/2 cups of water
Cook for 10 minutes
After cooking rice leave it to air out in a wide dish
In a pan with 1 tsp oil
Add 1/2 red onion finely chopped
Add 1 cup of frozen green peas
Add 1 tsp grated ginger
Add 1/2 tsp salt
Add 1/2 tsp black pepper
Add 1/2 five spice powder
Add 1/2 fried rice seasoning
Add 2 mari wirrie peppers finely chopped
Add 1 cup of sweet snap peas
Add 1/2 cup grated carrot
Add 1 tbsp Chinese sauce
Add 2 green onions finely chopped
Add 1 tbsp chopped cilantro
Add 1/2 of the rice pressured
Mix well before serving
Shrimp fried rice
1 1/2 shrimp clean and deveined
Add 3/4 tsp salt
Add 1/2 tsp salt
Add 1/2 tsp five spice powder
Add 2 tbsp green seasoning
Add 1 tsp soy sauce mushroom flavour
In a pan with 1 tsp oil
Add shrimp and cook for 4-5 minutes
Take shrimp out of the pan
Add 1/2 red onion finely chopped
Add 1 1/4 yellow bell pepper
Add 1/4 red add orange bell pepper
Add 1/2 tsp salt
Add 1/2 tsp black pepper
Add 1/2 tsp Chinese five spice powder
Add 1 tsp grated ginger
Add 1 cup sweet snap peas
Add 2 mari wirrie peppers
Add 1/2 fried rice seasoning
Add 1 tbsp soy sauce mushroom sauce
Add 1/2 cup grated carrot
Add the other half of the rice
Add 2 green onions finely chopped
Add 1 tbsp finely chopped cilantro
Mix well before serving
Serve with cucumber, tomatoes and cabbage

Love the way you cook. I make fry rice both every other weekend. But I use bastmati long grain rice I season it then let it steam. I fry my veg one side. Fry the rice then trow in the veg and mix it thanks you doing a good job. Some time I bake chicken one side. Then I do scrimp egg.

I use bora we call it in Guyana never use snap piece. U did a good job.

I must say ' HOORAY ' You did it! You got an A+ in this dish. Why? Because I never thought that someone could pressure rice before making a fried rice. I only think that we could cook rice in a pressure cooker when we make cook

If you pressure the white rice it will get soft. You can use white rice but you will have to cook it in a regular pot and dry down the rice✌️❤️🇬🇾🇨🇦

No if you are using a regular pot it would be 1 1/2 cup of water to one cup of rice. Cook until the water is evaporated 👍👍
