I've used one and it works well. Out of 3 frames of super there were probably a hundred bees left of which most seemed to be drones. I'm told that bees can work out how to get back into traditional bee escape boards if they get enough time but not sure about these. I took my supers off the morning after placing the board.

i think this innovation beats even the flow hive concept. It will be far more useful for us in Fiji for sure!

Should you leave an empty box under the escape board so that the bees have some room? I was worried they would be too crowded (3 supers on top of the board) and so left an empty super under the board.
