Wow Darren that’s really generous of Hive Alive! We use their fondant for the last 3 years religiously..and have seen a big difference in our bees. We’ve not used the pollen patties just because we had ordered the global patties with 15% that we got last year at Hive Life. We will be using the Hive Alive patties this year so looking forward to seeing the difference it makes! Sorry you e been sick, glad you’re better!! Those Ceracell bottom board traps look really nice.
Would be awesome if they could do the wasp trap on one side and a pollen trap on the other.
But I've had problems with wasps around here, so I may have to get me a couple to try out.

I use the frame spacing rake instead of nailing spacers in my PRODUCTION boxes because I use different spacing if foundation or drawn comb. I have used 9 frames, if foundation, and 8 if drawn comb. I understand that virtually all books recommend 10 frames if foundation, but 9 frames work for me. I do use a drawn frame in the first and last frame position with foundation between. Been doing that for 40 years successfully.
I did forget to mention that when using 9 frames of foundation, it is mandatory that they be spaced evenly, like the rake will space them.

I too use the wax foundation and I use a pizza wheel to cut the 1/8 inch strip off and then little wire snips to snap the wires - works great. Wax foundation is great to cut out queen cells when you find them and if you heat up the wires you can make cut comb as well.
That's a good idea with the pizza cutter. I was using scissors. LOL

Those Wasp/Hornet protectors may be very handy for people that have problems with Wasps or Hornets attacking their hives. It was announced on the news that they are now finding Asian Yellow Legged Hornets in the state of Georgia. This is a cousin of the Murder Hornet/Giant Asian Hornet that was found in Washington State in 2021. The Yellow Legged Hornet is almost as large as the Murder Hornet and they will attack and enter HoneyBee hives and kill all the Honeybees similar to how the Murder Hornet does that.
