    I'm thinking of adding a transparent in line filter to the blue hose to prevent particles from recycling through the injectors

      not a bad idea, maybe 20 micron or something, nothing too fine as you might loose enough pressure pushing fuel through the filter to affect the function of the injectors.

      @@ausevovideo6514 I guess as long as the gauge is after the filter you can always adjust if it's not enough may need to remove the filter,

      @@mrvic92154 also depends on the size of the injectors your running, my 1700's are pushing the standard pump about as far as it'll go, flow wise, if you're running smaller injectors in it you'll have more available pressure to push the cleaning fluid through a filter as well as the injectors. There's also the option of replacing the pump with a higher flowing unit, something like a Walbro 255 or similar, which would give you more pressure for a finer filter as well as bigger injectors.

    What size injectors were you cleaning here? Thanks for posting!

    I have a question that injector cleaner you use for cleaning and testing do you need to renew it every time you test and clean another injector or can you reuse that cleaner

    • @ausevovideo6514
      @ausevovideo6514  Před rokem +1

      So there's two parts to the unit, the ultrasonic cleaner on top and the injector cleaner/tester. When you pull the injectors from your car drop them in the ultrasonic cleaner and run them through a 10 minute cycle with enough fluid to cover them in the bath. Pull them out of there after the 10 minutes and install them in the holder above the tubes. Drain the liquid out of the ultrasonic bath and dispose of it. So now the injectors are pretty clean anyway so when you run the liquid through them it's only removing minimal amount of crap from inside them, so the liquid in the internal tank doesn't really get contaminated to any great degree. So to sum it up, toss the liquid in the ultrasonic bath and keep the liquid in the internal tank, at least for maybe 3 or 4 cleanings of your injectors.

    Nice video. Do you think this will be able to do 2200cc injectors ok?

    • @ausevovideo6514
      @ausevovideo6514  Před rokem +1

      that's a good question, I'm not sure, I'm kinda thinking my 1700's might be the limit with the supplied pump installed, to get more flow for bigger injectors you might need to replace the pump with something like a Walbro 255, which shouldn't be too hard to do as the supplied pump looks like a similar size.

      @@ausevovideo6514 thats cool mate I already have a spare one of those I think. I guess could also just do 2 or 3 injectors at a time instead of 4 to get the same results right?

      @@mikey13b definitely, there are blanking plugs supplied, so close off the two outside injector positions and run two at a time on the two inside ones, bit slower of course, but it would do the job just fine.

      So this is just my own recipe, which is 1 part diesel, 1 part isopropyl alcohol and 0.5 parts injector cleaner. So, as an example, 500ml of diesel, 500ml of isopropyl alcohol and 250ml of injector cleaner.

    • @ausevovideo6514
      @ausevovideo6514  Před 2 lety

      Yeah, still working fine, or it was a month or so ago when I cleaned my mates injectors. I definitely think it's worth buying, it's already paid for itself, and cleaning my injectors has pretty much become part of my normal maintenance schedule, which I don't think is a bad thing.

    • @ausevovideo6514

      it has a flush setting, so you can put your injectors in upside down, plug them in and the electronics hold them open so you can reverse flush them.

    The most interesting thing is ahead when the front control panel starts to crumble, and it will crumble, so Launch sells them separately and this device is nowhere to be found, I already filled the Chinese mail with letters, they don’t sell them separately and that’s it. It would be better if I added money and bought Launch, but greed won, that's me to myself.

      it probably won't be a problem for me, it's kept in a cupboard out of the sun and gets used probably 2 or 3 times a year, but for someone planning on using it more regularly it might be something to keep in mind. I'd suggest mines already paid for itself at this stage, at $80 to $100 for an injector clean and test it doesn't take long to cover the purchase price.
