IMO, if you really are looking for a way to get your toes wet prior to Wilds, Rise is easier to get into then World. The wirebugs and palamutes really improve mobility.

Nobody has said it’s coming to PlayStation I don’t think, it could, but I wouldn’t assume. Xbox is doing it on a case by case basis, so I wouldn’t expect it only because you might be disappointed if it doesn’t end up happening

I'm a little upset that you didn't talk about Animal Crossing Pocket Camp ending service. Creating an offline only mode of a service based game is a huge step forward for game preservation.
It's hard for me to take Paris seriously when it comes to Xbox previews. He gave a glowing preview to Redfall as well. He definitely has a weird fixation with the Xbox brand as a whole that seemingly blinds him from criticism
Okay, but to be fair, the Redfall debacle isn't necessarily his fault, not completely. Bethesda, Pete Hynes specifically, disguised the game as being more than what it ended up being. whenever we would see the game shown off at events, it showed relatively well, or it at least showed and did enough to allow us to envision how the game could play out. And that same thing can occur during previews when your given or shown a slice of the game and being told, "yes that bug and glitch isn't in the final version of the game" or told that there's more going on in the open world/map of Redfall when there in fact was not lol. Have you listened to Paris regularly or semi-regularly before, because he certainty does criticize Xbox and MS. I will agree and say it might not come off the same way as others because he does it in a respectful way and doesn't just go off the rails. A perfect example is, he doesn't carry himself like Max, "dreamcastguy" does.

Yes, vertical slices can be misleading, but Paris literally described his Redfall preview as being "dense with content". If you ever played Redfall, you know that statement is laughable, even if the developers did spruce up the preview build And I agree he always comes off as calm and well reasoned. but, he constantly goes on fanboy Xbox podcasts that are just as a toxic as "Dreamcast guy". And I found him to be a bit of hypocrite calling out "Dreamcast guy" but not all the obnoxious Xbox influencers he constantly engages with. If you just follow him, he has a big attachment to the Xbox brand. He wants to see them succeed, and I think that can blind him from being objective
As someone who loves Parris. This is a valid criticism. It’s a personal choice he has to make though. He likes to keep it positive and so he’s always going to risk coming off as disingenuous. Especially if the situation is really bad.

Having GTA6, Kingdom come 2 and Mafia old country in the same year would be amazing. GTA6 will have been in devlopment for Nearly 7 years by the time it comes out November 2025 makes the most sense.

Not sure if you had been checking in with Destin, but for the last year he's been very vocal and public about being unsure with how Avowed was going to turn out and felt like the game had not shown well every time we saw trailers and deep dives.

@@DavidSmith-ul7vx I did play that 1st person arpg heavy on dialog and collecting lots of stuff from containers. It’s what I thought a sci-fi Bethesda game would look like within an hour of playing. Obsidian seems to focus more on dialog choices, which is something Bethesda has been cutting back on since Oblivion. That’s why I think Obsidian is being a better Bethesda recently.

But Greg Concord being in development 8 years means it precedes Jim Ryan's time in charge of PS Studios's games/his live service push
They developed it for 8 years but playstation/Jim Ryan didn't purchase it till maybe halfway into that time.
Sony signed a publishing deal for Concord in 2021, under Jim Ryan. Prior to that it was just Firewalk and Probably Monsters working on the game.
I recently replayed South Park The Stick of Truth and these previews have got me so excited for Avowed when it eventually comes to PlayStation.
