And Ikit is absolutely busted in campaign
Honestly they're the best picks for their factions in campaign.
Gelt used to be really good in multiplayer before they nerfed final transmutation and accusation.

Note about Dreadlord RCB: if he's on the Black Dragon he can shoot while in melee like Luthor Harkon does. This makes him more dangerous in melee than you might expect.
Love the timing of this coming out the day after Turin ranked Gelt the lowest of the Empire legendaries.
Zerk is different from other multiplayer CZcamsrs since he isn't so obsessed withh competitive viability.
@@rubz1390 so much this. You have youtubers that are either all about those doomstacks, or the ultra optimization pvp perspective. I watch Zerk because he reminds me that being good in the game doesnt mean you cant have some fun.

Before people jump to some own conclusions, go watch the Turin video - despite the ranking he did say that Gelt is not bad and that he can be used in some matchups
Ghelt being the worst empire lord doesn't mean he is bad
However, the gameplay of Empire doesn't go THAT well with a mage lord, so that's why he is less used

And in warhammer 3 he is absolute nightmare to fight against due to his insane zombie buffs

I've never known that Ikit can leave an explosion behind when he dies on a shredder. Probably because I've never seen him die on a shredder. He's such a good all-rounder!
Makes sense the more finicky and "be careful" lords aren't picked as often as someone you can just throw into the mix and let be. That said really cool ideas and tips, Kemmler one especially!
You are the primary reason I got into this game. Saw it advertised on Steam, checked CZcams for tutorials and yours were the first. You made it look really fun.

Thank you Zerk for shining love on those under appreciated lords! They can really catch someone off guard if used like you portrayed here for example. It’s these kinds of “off meta” thinking and builds that keep things fun and interesting. Warhammer 2 is a game that really allows that because there’s enough of a variety and the funny thing is that even more variety can be added. Let’s hope that’s the case with the third game. So what have I learnt today? Casters are squishy, try to keep them alive but they are versatile and useful. Greenskins are little back stabbing bastards. Dreadlords need love too even if they don’t admit it. Variety is the spice of life. And other stuff that I won’t get into in here. Cheers!

Master assasin is too fragile imo like if enemy have magic damge he'll die before you taking notice where he is.
@@joeyawiki3315 he has stalk and is an exceptional mage killer even from range. You dont use him as marcus but you dont use him purely as an assassin either. You use him exactly like the DE assassin, poke and stroke my dude, pop the debuffs, let the melee begin, and run away when ya need to and let the poke and stroke go again. He isnt that squishy, he nearly beats big bird in melee, not a large feat but not a small one either

Happy to say I already use Ikit, Gelt and Kemmler. :) I think Kemmler is honestly one of the best VC lords. Gelt is all right, gets progressively better the longer the match goes on. I gotta say though, I see people bringing Ikit very often, probably more than any other lord except Skrolk, so I don't know how 'underrated' he is by the general community. I'll definitely be trying out that hybrid dread lord, I'm guilty of picking Morathi pretty much 100% of the time.
If i am right this first lord demonstration is abit missleading with the dragon even though it showcases a good use for him. When a unit is engaged with a lord or hero and the enemy have a multi hit move like a dragon swipe or any form of lord or hero attack that hits more then 1 target your lord or hero would then absorb all that dmg instead of it getting spread out over in this case alot of blood knights. The blood knights will still get tossed around but aslong as that attack also hits your lord or hero the Blood Knights wont take any dmg from it. This can be a great way to protect high tier infantry if they are stuck in a battle vs something large like a dragon or a giant for example. Your lord will absorb the dmg reducing the dmg onto the infantry. This also works with lord vs lord battle as they all do aoe dmg, in melee atleast. Your infantry will get knocked around but only the lord will take dmg. This is to make sure that if a lord is getting attacked by an aoe attack that most things the size of a giant and bigger tends to have (and Black Orcs for some reson) they take the full dmg and not just 10 points if there are friendly units hit aswell. If this was not in the game u could put your sorcerer near a friendly infantry unit and they would be almost impossable to kill for enemy assasins becouse they would split all the dmg.

In my experience kemmler is a super common pick in top tier play. Especially in the MUs that tend to be centred around counter-blobbing VC. LM, DE, CH, etc

I guess he means lately in competitive matches you don't see Ikit as often as you used to, but I agree I don't really think he's underrated or overlooked at all. Especially not in campaign where his workshop mechanic is still one of the most ridiculously over-powered things to date.

with plague of rust I think that the extra ap damage from lore of metal might be a bigger influence then the -30 armor itself. But since it is a cheap spell that is why it is worth it.
I have some questions: At 4:13 The knights of the blazing sun charge into Heinrich and then into the Bloodknights. How is the Charge damage calculated?
1. Not all of them hit Heinrich, so did he only get hurt by the 3 or 4 models that hit him?
2. Charge bonus lasts a little while, but got the entire unit the charge bonus or just the ones hitting Heinrich?
3. Afterwards the KotBS hit the Bloodknights, but they seem to have slowed down a bit. Does this still count as charge with extra damage and got the charge bonus refreshed?
4. Not for this situation, but a general question: If my opponent tries to charge a unit of mine, can the charge be intercepted with low mass units?
Following circumstances: Empire knights try to charge Ikkit claw, but a single skaven slave is in the way and gets hit instead. The slave is about 3m away from Ikkit claw. The slave gets overun and the Empire Knights hit Ikkit as well. Did the slave soak up the charge? Would I need a unit with enough mass to stop all the Empire knight models, in order to intercept the charge? Is this irrelevant because the charge bonus lasts for a small duration anyway?
Sorry I can’t answer your question but I’d like to add on.
5. Does having multiple units stacked on top of each other negate any charge damage. So if Empire knights charged into one unit of Stormvermin halberds compared to three units stacked on top of each other

Charge Bonus makes units do more damage, degrading over 13 seconds. Basically.
@@Zerkovich I know how the dmg calculation works. I was confused on the niche of "partially hitting" charges. But since the bonus lasts 13 seconds it doesn't really matter that much. But it does affect the entire unit, even if just one model that actually hits, right?
First two lords on the list were lords I picked first. This just helps confirm my belief that I always end up picking underdog characters when playing games.

As a only gobbos player in battle i go with the gobbo warboss and 1 / 2 gobbo chief for a little goonsquad party and it works, really really well, as they are tiny they can all deals dammages in the same time, their passifs fits really well for each others and can deal some serious dammages in a fight while the other player don't really try ot focus them that hard cause they are "only shitty gobbos"

heinrich is the only lord in the game where you can make 3k a province in you starting provinces without having to pay much for the necromancers, they updated it so that they do cost a tiny bit it's not much, making over 15k on a dock or maby just maby a mine
Ikit Claw is my favourite lord in the whole game. When I play Skaven, I play Ikit Claw, it's that simple.

Must say, the Kemmler Suicide Squad has been extremely efficient so far.
To be fair, even the game forgets about H&K, ever watch a campaign with him?, even the AI goes this old bastard is so passive we might as well just leave him alone forever.
I've played as Empire, Wood Elves, Bretonnia, Grom, Belegar, Skarsnik. Can confirm, that old fucker does nothing but sit in his mountain hole hiding from the Dwarfs next door and their stack of Dwarf Warriors.
@@Assdafflabaff One time in a Norsca campaign he killed the dwarf faction that lived next door. That was it, that was all he did.
@@mguy5923 Holy crap, his schemes were finally coming together. Maybe in another 300 turns he would have taken over the entire empire with his intricate machinations. TBH it really takes a high IQ to understand Kemmler's plans.
That's mostly because his faction has a severe income penalty because he used to snowball through Bretonnia when he was released.

Careful with unlimited power, it's got a sneaky little miscast chance that's easy to overlook / forget about. I try not to take it as the megalomaniac in me comes out in this game and he cannot not hit buttons that come with promises of unlimited power, even when ikit is down to his last hitpoint and doesn't even have a spell off cooldown to use...; warpstone is a helluva drug.
So yeah, careful with that. Also warpstone. Both will melt your face.

Wondering if anyone has experience with this.
I have a problem playing on high elf maps, the game crashes once some of them loads, a few i can play on fine and on at least one ambush map all units spawn below ground.
It only happens on doughnut maps, the rest of the game is fine.

@@liamcullen3035 It sure isn't making it easy to even try out the high elves, or playing as Aranessa. Having a 50% chance to not be forced to auto resolve on 50% of your nearby lands puts a damper on things already damp.
I'd hate to say this but I would actually advise against downloading Conqueror's Blade. Not because it's a bad game, it's actually very fun -- But because there's been some pretty sketchy stuff this is all alleged but multiple people have been experiencing the same thing when installing their client. Some people tried to look at what the client was doing and found that it uploaded some of the users data to blacklisted malware/spam/spyware servers as well as heavily throttling the users internet at times. All these problems usually go away when you uninstall the game, but you need a clean uninstaller for that like CCleaner because the game doesn't uninstall properly from steam. Anyways this is all alleged and I would really advice looking at the steam reviews before anyone decides to download it themselves. It's sad though, It actually is a very fun game.

As someone who doesn't dabble in the custom battle scene at all, does this mean Tretch is actually used more than Ikit or does even Zerk not know what the fuck to do with him?
Trecth doesn't deserve the title underused, rather the title useless. In this video Zerk atleast showed uses for Lords that are underrated and have potential. Tretch has neither of those qualities.

I really wish healing done value gets up getting added in total war warhammer 3 like how the damage value is now. I want to see how nutty some of the restoration gets.
Also missed opportunity to add some Gelt quotes over Black Sabbath for the extra value of him having coolest voice.
Ikkit should have a warp bomb as equippable skill.

Kholek has been meta for so long though. i do think most people know what he does but is just not that good as the other 2 LL for WoC atm. as for the BM lords they have the Khazrak issue, BM need their summons to be viable in MP. which is kinda sad
kholek is alright and played and i see boris too often for my taste
Kholek you still encounter every now and then with the Kholek+Shaggoth combo even when he got overshadowed by Sigvald. Ghorst is actually a bit of meta now with his super cheap mortis engine effect, Boris is being used way more often than Gelt.
The beastmen, on the other hand, is a different story. Except for Morghur (an incredidle LL), the others must be at least somewhat decent to be "underused". They're not underused, they're just blandly bad. If "bad" means "underused", then Tretch Craventail would be the king of the list. Playing Tretch is like you handicap yourself, guaranteed wasting gold on him and leadership penalty becaue of losing your lord...
@@TamLe-bj2yl well tretch doesn't die that easily. with his small unit size and 70 MD is that what he does. The issue with tretch is that is all he does, there is no offensive otput or pressure with him that the other play has to respond to.
You know shit has hit the fan when Gelt is underused. Maybe cuz Empire blow now. Dark elves and skaven OP AF. Game has turned into fantasy masturbatorium. The more of a weird race you pick, the stronger it is. Now we have another league of legends character being ported to total warhammer and since then I have been seeing some weird shit again. Stuff that just happens regardless of what a unit card says... especially for orks, dark elves and skaven. Though the best way to get away from the meta is to just not play multiplayer. It's pointless anyway.
