What a song. It never fails to move me, damn near to tears. What a singer! I have been lucky to have seen him in person once and the same comment applies. However, the most beautiful arrangement of this song, with appologies to Ian and Sylvia is Neil's collaberation with the late great Nicollette Larson. The same comment - in spades applies here also.

Makes me miss Canada a little. I left there 14 years ago for Jamaica. Born in Ontario in 1952. But the place has changed so much, I hardly know it anymore. Never going back.
I first heard this song on his album COMES A TIME? It was the last track on the album and I didn't know about Ian and Sylvia. I thought it was the best song on the album.
