NOTE: Try using a 50 inch string instead of 40 inches. 40 works for me but a bunch of comments say it is too short - you can always cut off the extra if it's too long at the end.
Okay it has taken me too long BUT here’s the kandi mushroom tutorial! This kandi takes around 100 white beads and 60 colored beads.

I'm learning how to make Kandi, and when I show up on the first day of school, I'll be all decked out!! I can give some bracelets to my friends and possibly make new friends with bracelets :)
Bruh I’m in band and yesterday when we had a competition I brought my stuff and made friends and 4 dollars (which is a lot to me considering I’m 14 and have no job)

I wish all tutorials were like this, shows all no jumpcuts.. Repeats instructions every time, doesn't just say "and repeat" then jumpcut. It isn't overly complicated either, this makes me very happy and like I can actually follow along :))

awesome tutorial! i made four of these. *four*. without a needle.
my fingers are effectively broken but i have four kandi mushrooms now so
i only made one without a needle and idk if i can make anymore 😅😅😅
the top of my needle is wide so it’s a pain.

@@adorexcake all you do is tie the end that you’d usually place the beads on to the eye of the needle, knot it so it doesn’t slip from the needle, and attach the beads from there! spares a good chunk of finger paik

This tutorial was perfect, you explained/showed everything in a way that was easy to follow. And it turns out this project was the perfect difficulty level for me! Can't wait to have an army of these little guys

This is the best tutorial i've found and I STILL messed up. Rage quitting 😂😭
PRO TIP: if you’re struggling with the stem, build it separately and just attach it to the mushroom once you finish both parts. It seriously makes the process soooo much easier.
Also when they said this is a pain in the ass without the needle, they really meant it's a PAIN IN THE ASS WITHOUT THE NEEDLE HOLY SHIT. Trying to make this without one is NOT a fun time. 🙃 Buy one immediately.

I struggled sooo hard and just had to figure out a solution ‘cause I reeeally wanted to make mushrooms but the stem was taking me out so once I figured out a solution, I knew I had to share. I learned from watching Mariah Argillaton’s video titled how to make a 3D kandi mushroom. She explains it really well and I got the hang of it fairly quickly. The one she’s making in her video is for a large mushroom though so if you’re making a smaller one just make sure to make adjustments to the size of your mushroom and you should be good to go. 😁
I tried making this out kept forgetting to tighten it ( I was having a whole ass gender dysphoria breakdown, in the middle of it,ok?) so now it won’t hold shape, BUT I have a cool morphing mushroom, they can be a small shroom, big shroom, flower, bell, hammer, ping pong paddle, AND A PANCAKE SHROOM :D I got upset at first, but I really love it

I was doing really good but i pulled a little bit too hard on the string and the entire thing exploded... that was fun.
I made this for the first time cause I was BORED?? And I think it turned out good. I zoned out for the most of it. 10/10 would recommend

I've followed this tutorial with pony beads many times before. I got some seed beads and it still works great, thank you for this! I am surprised I did this with seed beads and no needle 🙀

When you said it was a pain in the ass, you were not lying. I did not have the needle and I also messed up on the stem idek how but it still looks good lol.

How did it turn out? I'm on the 5th round with 10/0 seed beads. She actually explains and shows what she's doing in the best detail. She is one of a very few that makes learning things very easy.

for anyone trying with the stretchy clear string, just stop rn before it’s too late. or if you haven’t started, do not, absolutely DO NOT cut it at 40 in, it won’t work. i learned from experience😓
Brokedown crying. Spent an hour just on the head of the mushroom and it looks like a ball. I guess it was good except for the fact when we connected the white beads the second time you didn't specify what it needed to look like.

I have a visual spatial learning disorder, and every time I try to sinch down to start the stem I seem to be off. It would appear that maybe you skip beads or something. Is there a way to count the beads? I am not sure that makes sense.

Hii! So I got these beads from hobby lobby and I realized they were small than 9mm (the bead size I usually get) would this still work with a smaller size bead?
Yep! It’s a little harder but it’ll work.
I keep getting stuck on the first step of the base(where you bead and skip three), for some reason I have way more than four spaces left at the end and they don’t form the triangle, they stand up

i made one, its yellow. it took me quite awhile cause i dont have a plastic sewing needle, but its very cute :3
Will stretchy elastic cord work? It’s barely stretchy it’s like the hard clear string of that makes sense

At the end I actually had to turn off the tutorial cause my phone was about to die so I had to do the stem by myself but I somehow did the exact thing you said to do in the vid idk how I was smart enough to know what to do

A little late to the party. Question? Could you use fishing line instead of covered stretch string or do you need the elasticity?
Hi! Unsure if anyone answered your question quite yet but you require the elasticity so the tension forms the moulds once you are finished and form it to the shape.
I used 7mm elastic string for this, however many recommend using cord covered string so ensure that the knots you tie along the way (especially if you run out of string and need more to continue) stay in put! For my elastic plastic string though, I was sure to tie it many times and tight!
