As a Child just getting into motocross, I remember Danny racing in Brisbane Australia, one of the most Wet supercross races that never should have happened went ahead for some crazy reason. Danny was beating Australia's Best, Mr.Motocross Stephen Gall, by a mile(a lap) when he hit the Quad jump and suddenly a lapped rider went squirrely and Danny landed on top of him, taking the lapped rider out. What really surprised me and stuck with me was that even though Danny had flown over, spent a lot of money I'm sure and wanted to win, he only did one more lap in the lead then graciously pulled over to check on the rider he had injured, he chose to stay with him and forfeit the rest of the race. I still have it somewhere on an old Beta or VHS tape. What Annoyed me was that Stephen Gall won and then celebrated as if he deserved that win. It completely changed my mind about him. I decided that day that I wanted to be humble like Danny LaPorte and even as my junior pro career progressed and I started winning, I always maintained that attitude throughout with my sponsors and other riders. Thanks Danny.
hello danny from south algeria good souvenirs
A few years back I was invited down to El Chale in Tecate, Baja, MX to go riding. While changing into my gear a Ford F150 pulls up and it's Donnie Sr. and Danny LaPorte. Duuuuuude......it was so cool. Drinking Tecate, eating berria tacos and talking about Dubai - epic day!
Thanks guys, I love Danny, good to see him doing well, had his 82 poster on my wall,81 beats 1986 MXDN in my mind.

Yeah I had this old poster of Danny on a Suzuki rm 125 blasting a berm on a national, I think it was back in 1976 or 1977 anyway he was always one of my favorite riders.
