  • This is Ron knows stuff. I went to buy a new car and this is what happened. I am not a used car dealer or a new car dealer. I am a fleet buyer and buy about 100 cars a year. I use those experiences to know when it’s time to buy something new. join me on this journey of buying a new car and getting a great deal. I will show you what to look for, what to avoid, and when to ask for a bigger discount. New car shopping is not fun but with patience, it can be rewarding, take your time do you research and be prepared to say no. We said no to two dealers before we got to the yes. We were prepared to walk. we were prepared to buy a different brand. buying at the end of the month should get you a better price, but knowing what incentives are available, will guarantee it. It is better to go in person than over the phone or online because the dealers want to see you are serious and ready to buy today. in negotiations, the person who says the price first loses. Be honest in your dealings, but don’t volunteer too much information too soon. Again, be prepared to walk. I recommend searching within a 100 mile radius for dealerships. Look at their inventory online and to confirm they have it in stock. You can even set an appointment. Let them know you are shopping other dealerships and really looking for the best out the door price. Don’t get caught up in how they get to the out the door price you just want to know the out the door price. the bottom line matters and nothing else. Good luck and good shopping from Ron Knows stuff. Remember to like and subscribe. Coco says hi.

Hi ron i sell toyotas but im in california so fees will be different for what dealers charge for, but i have a different perspective on a few things. 1. When buying from a dealership not a mom n pop place warranties are 100% worth it if you live in the area to return to the dealership to use that warranty by the selling dealer but always negotiate the price of the warranty usually by half and get the best coverage they offer. If you decide to not buy extended warranty and want to later ....get it before your bumper to bumper factory is up and it will be cheaper. There are so many electronics on vehicles now it will pay for itself, i paid 2k for my warranty on a new 2018 4runner and its paid for itself already on a super reliable vehicle. 2.)Always compare apples to apples with the same features and exact same MSRP for bargaining... if a dealer has a vehicle they can check surrounding dealers to see if they are the only ones with in a certain range with that vehicle that is equipped a certain way and if they are good luck on getting a decent discount. You are correct about buying at the end of the month and how long a dealer has a vehicle for discounts. Incentives will get better on new vehicles as the year progresses manufactuerers are producing more vehicles. Love the video and great tips, just thought id give my 2 cents ❤

Great perspective and feedback is appreciated. I would 100% buy an extended warranty if it was manufactured sponsored. Dealer three and two had the same exact MSRP. Dealer one’s MSRP was $885 higher as it had a few extras on the same SV model. Dealer three (highest price) also owns the Honda, VW, Hyundai, and Genesis dealerships in my area.

The Honda Pilot is not turbocharged BTW, it has a new version of the 3.5L V6 with a 10-speed automatic. The CRV is a 1.5L turbo with a CVT.
