  • The parietal pleura forms some interesting shapes. These are the pleural reflections and recesses. What's the difference? Which is which? What are they called? Why is this information useful?
So, lungs, pleura, pleural reflections and pleural recesses. Get a cup of tea and pay attention.

30 years old med-student here. Am I crazy if I haven’t given up yet? Probably - anyway. I guess, in my desperation, I just wanted to reach out and thank you, sir, for the great job you’re doing with these videos. They really do help a lot and I’m not talking about the strictly didactic aspect that they have but psychologically - they’re helping me fear a little less. Thank you.

    wow!!
i m a 1st year student and never grasped the concept of pleural reflection and recess ( even after consulting books like KLM and GRAYS Anatomy) BUT you were the first teacher who could even explain such concepts so easily . And sir your models are amazing they lead to more understanding than the cadavers we have in anatomy dept. Thank you very very much
    May God bless you !❤️

What I could only memorise by words because I couldn't understand even after reading about them for days, I could completely comprehend in only 20 minutes of great explanation! Thank you Dr. Webster! Your videos always save me!

I watch your anatomy videos related to the topics i have to study for the module and then give them a read from KLM and its so easy to understand. You literally help create that first 3d model in our mind that we imagine while reding the info related to it.

Is the stellate ganglion in contact with the parietal pleura? If it is, would that part be the cervical pleura?
Also, what part of the parietal pleura covers (if it does) the rest of the sympathetic chain? The costal pleura, I'd imagine?
I do not quite understand what is physically delimiting the cervical pleura... maybe nothing? Is it just a name?
    Thank you.
