Traditional sounds focused, OS sounds huge. Both are great cabs and industry standards. OS gets my vote

I haven't heard an Oversized in-person, but from recordings, I just don't like the high-end I hear on them. I DO own a Mesa traditional and it is the best cab I've ever owned, hands down. It DEFINITELY beats the Soldano 412 I just even swapped it for, and it even beats the Bogner Uberkab I had. It's insane. The Traditional is so focused and articulate all the way across the spectrum. If you're gonna spend 1500 brand new on a cab, the Traditional is actually worth it.

Sounds like the OS is a bit more forgiving. the traditional is more accurate, so any mistakes I might make could also come through? 🤔

Its interesting - you've used a plug in for the amp, but a real cab/SM57? What amp did you use to get it to the cab?

The signal from the plugin to a Solid State lower amp and the mic, a very simple setup for reamping the same signal

Oversized wins to my ears wow no fizz

The traditionnal has less low end but in the end it sounds bigger to me because its mid focus frequency is lower than the oversized's one. Probably way more fat in a mix. The OS doesnt worth the extra weight imo (and I'm this guy playing with 2 100W stacks at the same time, no pedalboard/modelising nerd)
