Technology Meets Contemporary Design | The Serif TV by Samsung

- Television’s are fundamental in almost every home, often becoming a feature of your living room whether you like it or not. Recently it was the Frame from Samsung that began to revolutionise the way a TV should act, with its preference towards being an artwork rather than a flat black box. However this new collaboration between Samsung and Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec, takes this concept even further; with their design of the Serif TV blurring the lines between furniture and technology, and how they integrate within our lifestyle.
With a distinctive I shaped profile inspired by the Serif font, this TV is also packed with Samsung's Quantum Dot QLED technology and unique ambient mode features. We recently took the Serif for a test drive and love how unique and distinctive it is in a market still dominated by black squares on walls.

The cable showing killed it!
This video sums up why visual media is not only visual, but audio-visual media. Bad sound really lowers the otherwise really beautiful video...
Not gonna lie at least Samsung is trying so many ways to make TVs look artsy, modern. I have a 65” q7(2018) in my living room and the frame Tv in my kitchen. I’m not gonna lie the serif looks great but imo u have to have the right house like this one to rock it

The television looks, as you say, more like a piece of art. I love the interior of this living room.
Everything about this video was extraordinary would have loved better audio quality.
I also want to know who makes those two yellow lounge chairs in the living room as well as that couch, so well done

Piece of art
I really like this TV and plan to buy one for my new home. However, we only have 55' model available in China, so that could be a bit tricky to find a suitable spot to put it down. I wish there would be a smaller one available soon.
Yeah it’s slightly different versions in different markets. There is a 43inch. Hopefully they bring it there soon.

Great video. It looks like the table legs are short. If you're watching it lying down on the bed, won't it be straining for neck?
My question is where do you put the one connect box along with everything connected to it such as PS, and/or soundbar....if you are using your frame tv on a studio stand?
This one isn’t the frame. It’s the serif tv and doesn’t have an external box. ⚡️

I'm getting a new home in 3 months and this TV fits perfect to my idea of the flex room, which will be my fun/movie/game room. The other Samsung TV the frame TV fits perfect for my idea of the living room. I like the mid-century style so these 2 meet that for me.
@@feztoys I have the frame tv it's just awesome I turn it off and it's a picture I got a deal from someone and took a chance but it's been working perfect so far I feel like my family doesn't realize how nice a TV it is tho pisses me off haha I also have the galaxy s6 so I just throw movies up the wirelessly it's too awesome

The tv itself is amazing but I would rather it came with a table stand too as I don’t want to wall mount it and the stand isn’t to my liking. I was definitely thinking of buying it.
Everything about this looks great.. Except for the tv's power cable ruining the view :-)
there's actually samsung accessory that can hide the cable behind the line of the stand
dont mind the cable at all - kinda goes with the slight retro vibe.
I wish they showed her drinking a beer and binge watching something at the end.
Love your review and the info you gave, but you need to work on the sound of the video. It was a struggle to understand what you were saying.
Unfortunately we had to use our back up sound as we had a mic go on us... got it sorted now.

I have one. When assembled correctly the wire actually goes inside the leg so you can plug it in without a wire hanging out the back.

The stand is hideous. Without its pretty cool. Nothing stoping samsung from delivering the dynamic background to all their tvs though..

This is BS product that is going to fail just like the curved TV concept. The specs are awesome but it takes up way too much space as a freestanding "piece of furniture". Traditional flat screen wall mounted TVs properly are way better because it fits like another big picture frame or mirror that is not in anyone's way.
