Walther PDP Pro SD vs Canik TP9 Elite Combat

What are the main differences or notable differences. Between the two pistols they have fantastic, best in class striker fired triggers. The PDP Pro SD has the Walther Dynamic Performance Trigger or DPT and its incredible, nearly no take up, breaks at about 4 lbs at 90 degrees and minimal reset. The Canik Elite Combat has their elite trigger with a longer take up, crisp clean break just past 90 degrees and about an 1/8" for reset. The Canik takes a slight edge for a better trigger.
Slide serrations and grip texture on the Walther PDP is better, but a significant amount. Canik's grip texture is good, but its not Walther PDP class. Slide serrations on the Walther may be some of the very best for duty pistol available on the market. The Elite Combat has a nice extended mag release button, which is better many others out there, including the PDP. The Walther PDP Pro SD comes with three 18 round magazines with awesome basepads for the nice aluminum, enlarged magwell. The Canik Elite Combat comes with 2 magazines, one 15 round and one 18 round magazine. On paper and without shooting the Walther has more to offer with many features which surpass the Canik.
On the range, the Walther feels better in the hand and we enjoy shooting it more. The recoil cycle for both pistols are very similar. The trigger of the Walther PDP Pro SD on the range is a better trigger due to the lack of take up and clean break at 90 degrees. With both of these pistols, they are great options.
If we had to choose one which is better, we choose the Walther PDP Pro SD. The Walther PDP Pro SD is a full package deal which needs absolutely nothing, yet beats some custom striker fired pistols. The PDP is one of the very best defensive pistols available. We can't help but love each, so check 'em both out and let us know which one you think may be better.
