    First time seeing you, love the Easter bag. With vinyl as a liner and 4” taller it would be a great beach bag or grocery bag!

      Thank you for the feedback and I'm glad you liked the basket! I'm hoping that things pick up a bit, too. I think I'm doing okay though, with 90 subscribers and that's in under 2 months. I'm sure if I put more time into getting myself out there, it would probably help. I really should spend at least a few minutes each day working on that part. ;-)
      You take care, too and I look forward to Wednesday's video, too!

    A tisket a tasket a dining room basket👏 💗 I’ll try and make a smaller one but something like this for my dining room table would be perfect 👍 my family is into Miss Dash seasonings and this would be beautiful sitting on the table holding all the spices 🙈 instead of the ugly dollar tree container I have. 😊thank you so much for another great sewing project

      Good Monday morning to you and thank you so much! Such a sweet comment, it went straight to my heart. I’m always happy when my subscribers are happy and so I’m glad that you like the Easter basket. I think each project throws something new into the mix and teaches people new methods of doing things. Thank you so much for wading through my “older” videos, (older as in I’m eight months old now, ha ha). Have a great week, Honor and happy sewing!

    hi Marie, I can’t tell you how many times I tried to make this bag and it simple as you say it is for me the brain didn’t work and I ended up with a separate outside bag that wasn’t sold at the bottom and that’s all it was that I did wrong and I can’t tell youhow much time I spent on this bag however it’s finished and I wanted to make more but I think I’m all done. Thank you very much happy😊😊😊😊😊😊

      Hi Beverly! Yes, I actually did make it and I filled it with regular polyester fiberfill. When I read your comment, I had to laugh because I plan to make a tutorial soon to show how I made it and you were the first to mention it. Others may have noticed it, but you were the _first_ to comment. I need a new one, so I thought maybe others might be interested to see how I made it. Thanks so much for your comment!

    I have lots of old sheets that are still great fabric. I'm going to make some of your baskets minus handles for organization of my bookshelf. Kids books don't organize well.

    • @MariesScrappyCreations
      @MariesScrappyCreations  Před 2 lety +1

      Old sheets make great fabric and I use them a lot. In fact, I was just filming an upcoming video yesterday and I used a white sheet that I bought at a yard sale. I love using cotton sheets, especially the older ones, as they seem to be such a good quality. I love your idea of using the baskets for storage and organization. I thought of making some for that exact same purpose, but I wasn’t thinking of using this style/pattern. Thank you for the idea!

    good evening Marie my video was interrupted by your video so I’ll go on again Marion Jay from Cape Cod Massachusetts and I’d like to wish you a happy first anniversary with the CZcams and I think the United States is probably the only country that you can you know just go on video and be on television and I have an hour and as long as you keep a cold you can make a go of it. I know it’s difficult at times and I know your house is full but hopefully things will pick up and you do a great job and you’re a credit to a lot of women and I’m sure your husband is a big help for you as well so you take care. God bless you and I wish you all the best as far as your health goes andyou can continue on your journey, so thank you so much. Marie have enjoyed every minute of your programs.

    I don't get how you unfold the blob after you've sewn to secure the lining. Your video skips to the basket all turned and perfect. I'm confused.

    • @MariesScrappyCreations
      @MariesScrappyCreations  Před 2 lety

      Hi Lori! Part of this reply kind of goes with the other one. ;-) I left a link in my reply on the other bag, but I'll leave the same one below and I think it will help you see the bigger picture. In the linked video, it shows it all being turned right side out through the opening that we left in the lining. In the Easter basket video you watched, we left the opening at the top, instead of in the lining side or bottom. It just makes for a neater finish, but there are pros and cons to each method.
      After you watch the video below, it you still need help, please feel free to contact me over email and I'll help in whatever way I can.

    If I wanted to quilt this, at what point would I do that?

    • @MariesScrappyCreations
      @MariesScrappyCreations  Před 4 měsíci

      Hi Mary! Thank you for watching, as well as for your question. I made this 2 years ago, so I’m a bit foggy on the details. I’m also fairly sick right now, or I’d try to figure out the quilting part. Off the top of my head, I’d say you could quilt the outer part to the fleece and then as long as you do your corners the way I show (at about 23 minutes into video), that will hold the lining inside.
