Awesome! I really like this theme! I would recommend the "Nameless King" theme next. The theme is of a boss encounter with 2 different entities: The King of the Storm who is a dragon from the east and the Nameless King who is an old forgotten god of war that rides upon said dragon. MANY have lost their lives to the duo. Also when it comes to this theme, Pontiff Sulyvahn is extremely aggressive. It fits well with the horror undertones that you mentioned because when you enter his room he stand there menacingly and will slowly walk toward you until you are within range. When you get inside his range he will start doing (until this point in the game) unheard of long combos with his dual swords. And halfway through the fight when you think he could get more aggressive he starts creating clones of himself that imitates every move he makes!
To sum it up. Pontiff sullyvahn is the sole reason ds3 potentially happens. (Unless you believe a character from the 2nd game is the reason. Dont wanna give any spoilers)
If you think the game is starting to become a little too easy, this guy shuts that shit down real quick
