  • Hi all. Check out this very well detailed video about cost of living in Finland. I discussed possible income from part-time jobs, as well as expenditures. Note, international students can work up to averagely 25 hours per week. I hope you enjoy it. Don’t forget to smash the like button and subscribe.
    Thank you! 😊

    Hi Oxy.
    I have being following you for some time now. Thanks for the information you continue to provide for us.
    My name is Augustine. I am an African from Liberia.
    I am a medical professional (Medical Laboratory Technician ) to be precise. I earned a diploma after three years of theoritical and practical training. But I am interested in doing a advanced degree in medical laboratory science. I am 39. Is there any hope for me to earn a scholarship at my age.
    Thanks for the response.

    • @oxygeneleye
      @oxygeneleye  Před 2 lety +1

      Hello,
      Many thanks for your question.
      Finnish education respects equality and equity, very much. Hence, I wouldn’t think age is a barrier in most cases, if not all, as long as candidates meet the admission requirements and can justify beyond reasonable doubt any educational gap, as well as provide genuine and logical reasons they are applying for the programme, amongst other things. Except it is specifically stated as part of the admission requirements for the degree programme application (which is very unlikely), I wouldn’t worry about it. I know for a fact, Finland believes so much in lifelong learning. Therefore, I do encourage you to apply.

    Thanks for sharing this. Your contents are always helpful. I know the joint application is open at the moment but I haven’t taken the IELTS exam yet so I’m skeptical about applying. I just wish there’s a way I can apply now and sort the English test/exam later. With the joint application I know the opportunity is broader than it is with the separate application. Kindly advise. I sent a message on Instagram but got no response from you.

    • @oxygeneleye
      @oxygeneleye  Před 2 lety +1

      You are welcome. Yes, I do understand. I will advise you get in touch with the Admissions Office at the university offering the degree programme to enquire if there is a possibility to proof level of English proficiency through other means (e.g. getting an attestation letter from your current or former university, confirming English as the language of tuition for that degree programme, etc.).
      Additionally, I have included a link to guide you through the application process:

    • @oxygeneleye
      @oxygeneleye  Před 2 lety +1

      Hi. There are part time jobs in Finland. However, some may be more difficult to get than some others. Also, just like any other job hunting, networking will go a long way in securing one. Also, if one is not too picky, there is a higher probability to get a part-time job quicker.

    • @just42tube
      @just42tube Před 7 měsíci

      Unless you have legally binding work contract, nobody can make you believable promises of part-time earnings.
      It is also not the logic in getting residence permit for studies. One of the requirements is to have sufficient funds for living and tuition fees at least for the first year. As a proof of sufficient funds the most common way is to have money on your own bank account. Stories about possible income from some part-time jobs isn't useful proof.

  • @obiajunwaugochikingsley1437

    I want you to do a video explaining all documents needed to study in Finland and all costs of coming to finland as a student.
    Secondly, as an HND holder, can you be given admission to study for masters in Finland?
    Thirdly, can someone who studied social sciences or management courses Change their line of study. i. e change to medical courses like Nursing?

    • @oxygeneleye
      @oxygeneleye  Před 2 lety +1

      Hello. I’ve made a video about studying in Finland. See link: czcams.com/video/_-30VA6eAYc/video.html. Kindly go through the playlist, as there are several useful videos.
      Also, unfortunately, most institutions, if not all, do not accept HND as a prerequisite for Master’s degree application. The main requirement for admission to a Master’s degree programme in Finland is a suitable Bachelors degree.

    Bruh is there any university with lower living expenses cost deposit on prior if not
    Is there any other way reduce the amount !?

    • @oxygeneleye
      @oxygeneleye  Před 2 lety +1

      Hello. I’m not sure if your question is totally understood. However, bear in mind that regardless of the university you intend to attend, official minimum living expenses that you must declare to Migri (Finnish Immigration Service) is the same. The only way the amount can be reduced is if you are granted scholarship(s) that cover full or part of your living expenses. You will need to show proof of such scholarship(s) when applying for your student resident permit (Usually, through a scholarship letter issued by the university/ organization). You usually will then need to complement the rest of the amount that isn’t covered, to fully meet the minimum requirement of living expenses set by Migri. I hope this helps.
