The Mini is too light to get traction with it’s semi slicks, if it was dry it would be a competitive race. The Honda is a monster.
The civic has boost by gear. Thats way better thant the setup on the mini

The engineering what’s gone into it is insane!!
There's an old skool mini with a full Evo engine and 4wd conversion that runs hillclimb.
For now though I'd add a big splitter to front and +20kg ballast to the bumper and move the steering wheel (if possible) a bit further with the seat too. Every little bit would help :)

What a great day, yes it wasn’t the fairest in the wet but we done what we could do, in the dry it would of been a lot fairer, but Dan is a legend and I know he’s up for it as much as I am to re run in the dry 👌🏼😁

You definitely need a re-run on a dry strip. My old mini used to spin its wheels in 3rd in the wet with less than 100 hp. Not surprised you struggled!

The 4wd conversion of the mini as its been said would be an absolute slayer on the road and track but you will have to get these two back in the spring or summer when its dry as that mini would hook up so much better, that civic did well but did it dirty!

Great drivers and cars. With wet weather the higher the power to weight ratio you become slower, the civic's weight is an advantage in this weather.
Unlucky for the lads having to do this in the wet big respect for them stepping up I love a good limiter bashing civic but there’s something about Honda powered mini bashing it off the limiter gapping street cars i would pick the mini not that I’m bias towards Dan like 😂😂
when its soaking wet like that you need to swap lanes because there's probably a massive traction difference from side to side. probably wouldn't have made any difference today but i think on some occasions it would make a difference

One thing I've noticed is that in all the drag races on the show. No one warm up the tires to help gain traction by doing a small burnout. That burnout can make all the difference in the drag race portion

Great watch, but a mute event really with those conditions. Interesting that across the line at the end, even though the Honda wins, the Mini looked faster, like he was finally getting traction and actually catching the Honda, though the result sheet showed otherwise.
Looking forward to a rematch in better conditions.

In those conditions it was all about the tyres and weight...the heavier civic actually had more grip because ot it. Sick whips though...always love boosted honda power.
