I don’t think I’ve ever seen a young flight crew operating one those old birds. Love it.
I aas about to write the same thing. This combination of the young and the old is rarely seen.
The C-47 was designed for 20-25 year old pilots
C47's were designed for 20 year old pilots
Brings back my happiest flying memories.I have long forgotten the A320 and B737,but the DC-3 is still fresh in my memory.
My father was 22 years old when he became a pilot instructor at Randolph in 1942. In 1944 he went to Missouri and taught pilots how to fly the gliders hauled up by the C-47s. After the war he went to Japan and when the Korean War broke out he was flying C-47s hauling troops and supplies in and out of Korea.
He could have hauled my uncle Dan Clark
Жалко не грохнули его в корее

I’m not a pilot but I love watching these videos. Flying this looks like a physical and mental workout.
We share the same administration
this has got to be one of the coolest things you could possibly be doing for a living today. thanks for keeping this beaut alive and pretty boys!
Wow! Thanks guys, this will help preserve this aircraft in the future digitally as well. It's so important to have the pilots perspectives too. Beautiful work, would love to see some more! Walkarounds, Pre flights, Planning, I'm all for it to capture what it feels like to fly a C-47 from start to finish
В fs2020 он есть
One of the best DC3 Cockpit videos on CZcams - love it
My grandpa flew right seat on a C-47 when he wasn’t flying combat gliders in WWII. Awesome!
This brings back such great memories from my time in the Gooney Birds. I can still smell it and feel the air. We flew over a shopping mall one time with a huge American flag. That still stands out in my memory. Thank you!
Beautiful!! I loved how the other old birds were buzzing the field during the checklist
I love the C-47/DC-3! Happy to see that this bird is still flying!
Шикарный аппарат !!!! Дуглас красивая птица, легендарная! Приятных вам полётов!
Честно говоря, никогда не ожидал, что русский человек прокомментирует это.

Great video. My grandpa flew the Berlin airlift in these. Among his 30+ year career
WW2 - Korea - Vietnam
Love it, thank you for sharing this experience with us!
The sight picture is interesting with such a giant tail wheel, and the take off and landing performance is incredible with this giant machine too.
love those old birds .. Dc 3 and beech 18 still there ! thanks for flying with you guys !
What's going on with the right engine ?
Thank you for this fantastic video ❤
On of my favorite planes. Thanks 👍
Greets from the Netherlands 🇳🇱, TW.
Great job showing off an icon! Love this airframe!
a great clip, thanks for showing us. cheers NZ
I just got my type rating in the DC-3, very interesting aircraft to fly! Great video
Enough chop, chop?😊 Wow. Cool on the low landing approach. A5 thumbs up.
Excellent Video!
Wow, seeing that was sweet!
Doesn't get much better than this!!!!
How cool is that 👍 Thank you
Hand Flying all the time ! 👏🏼👏🏼 Great piloting, man !
This plane and the deHavilland Otter on floats, my two favourite birds to fly
Wow! RIGHT at the displaced threshold. NICE man! 👍🏻❤
The plane of my childhood dream.. good flight, good landing, congratulations
Awesome video!
Oh yeah! My first ever flight...in an RAAF Goony bird, from Edinburgh base in Sth Aust . An air cadet in 1963. Loved it,and would trust any of these fabulous aircraft and do it again!
With those bank angle 18:38, I'd be sweating my balls off being on that thing. Kudos to your courage!!🎉
Oh god those trees were close on approach, holy moly
BEAUTIFUL CLASSIC PASSANGER PLANE!!!!
Пилоты молодцы, профессионалы. Отличное видео. Очень понравилось. 👍👍👍
Grate video!!! ,regards from Uruguay
Awesome video
Wow hell of a piece of machinery.
Very good !
That 360 on the runway was nuts
Cool video!
Dad flew a C47 in WWII. One mission over Norway... then the European war ended. Did most of his military flying hauling troops back to the USA. Was based in Puerto Rico... then to Trinidad... (picked up troops ferried from the Azores) then to Miami. Telling us kids stories... into Miami... smoking Cuban cigars in the cockpit... propellers swing blue static arcs... He was only 22. Greatest generation.
Quelle magnifique vidéo, bravo aux pilotes des appareils, quel concentration...un savoir-faire qui se pert.
Nice! 👍👍👍👏👏👏
amazing
Nice Landing. Those trees looked pretty close.
Nice very well maintained airplane is looks like brand new classic airplane.
Beautiful. I am IN LOVE.🛩❤👍🙏
Looks like you have to man-handle that plane! Are you doing thrust differential with your right hand?
SHOWWWWWWWWWWWWW, CONGRATULATIONS, WATCHING FROM BRASIL.
I'm affraid of heights. I've never been on an airplane. Maybe some day, when I'll be able to afford it 😁 Nice video! Thank you!
It's one of the greatest things in the world, if you don't mind the cramped economy class seats. Often, people with a fear of heights don't get their phobia triggered in an airplane for some reason.
As someone who can’t even get on a ladder cause of my fear of heights.
I can personally attest going on an airplane made me shit my pants and I’m never doing it again. But I find them to be very very interesting
Пилоту Браво!
Приземлился на 5 !
Those dudes got the best job in the world.
Beautiful airplane. 🫡🇺🇸👍🏻
Молодцы ребята, так понравилось. Респект вам
Niceee
8:59 I have quite a few jumps out of DC3s and to this day it is still my favorite jump ships. It didn't climb as well as other birds and got pretty chilly up at angels 14 or higher but there was just something about them that's hard to explain.
Sou apaixonado pela aviação parabéns DEUS ABENÇOE
Nice.
🤘CHECKLIST TECHNIQUE 🤘
hello from Paris France 🙂
niiiice
Suena hermoso y es un clásico 😢😂💪🇦🇷👍
Night flying inside this cabin must be very good!
Очень классно. Спасибо. СССР производил много самолетов Ли-2 пляти тоже самое по лицензии Douglas. Их много осталов в музеях. Какте то может и летают.
what is the airport?
Amazing plane ! More better the all flying computers around...
This is real flying…not just setting autopilot switches.
Do you fly with the c-45 much? I think i may have snapped a pic of the pair, over Sullivan lake, in early may of last year. As a kid, my dad almost bought a deralict AT-11 for us to play in on the farm. He also owned a PT-17 at one time, that he flew.
It would be wonderful if you could get the avionics system included in that camera sound system, too.
first 2 minutes: Good audio. Remaining 26 minutes: Nothing but prop noise. Good video but can I recommend trying to integrate headset audio into your videos? Radio audio would have been great to hear especially when trying to communicate formation flying.
That's Clermont County Airport - I was born in Williamsburg nearby. I've been in here in a 150 once.
If it wasn’t for that GoPro I would say that the Earth was a globe😳
Plane sounds like screaming freedom when taking off
Dc-3 end C-47 best machins.
Bumpy ride in the old bird.
cool
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
My grandfather was part of the 101st airborne he jumped from the c47
why no white smoke when start up?🤔
Высокий класс! 👍
At 10:00 it would have been cool if both of you could have forward slipped all the way to touchdown on that runway ahead.
Have a Engine Pratt & Whitney R-1830?
the phrase is called "balls to the wall" because in those old WW2 planes they had little balls on the ends of the throttle/prop/mixture and when shit hit the fan you just shove everything forward. Hence, balls to the (fire) wall.
coragem pra mais de metro gostei
did not know harly davedson trucks can fly
Does anyone know what airport this is?
Had to do some digging around. Looks like Batavia, OH during the Warbird Showcase.
Guys I wonder if this thing has War Emergency Power , injector switch ?? If it does, could you pull off a combat turn in it ? LOL./
Great video.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
omg this sound like a magic for my ears ))
The Funny Stalker Aircraft.
Flying that big ol pig of a 46 in formation has to be fun; did you try loops and rolls ?🤣
A Bus... oldtime flying Bus. =)
So amazing view of a cocpit😂
Eu não entendi uma coisa! A manet de aceleração se ele tirar a mão ela volta?? Desacelera?? Kkkk
He looked down the moment the plane jumped into the air. And that was the end of the video to me.😅
I wish i could tell the pilot "you know it would be alot better of a time if you weren't such a hardass" lol, im a private historical fighter jet pilot and WW2 historical pilot at the same time, and formations are my thing, having a better look upon things (like your co pilot had) would have been alot better in your situation, reguardless of how stressful it is, unless you know, if your a rookie then if thats the case i totally understand, just kidding buddy haha, still great flying fellow aviators!
Sounds just about right. Could always ask Dan Gryder.
The big bus
These planes still fly in Colombia's jungles and plains called "Llanos"
it's the bugs bunny grremlin freighter
