I'm new to the NF journey. I've listened to his newer songs from his mixtape and enjoy them. This was really deep and stirred the feels for me. Now I never experienced physical abuse but the grief from loss he speaks of and having to deal with, that is what I relate to. My husband of 22 years passed suddenly in an accident. It's a struggle even after 14 years. I know those dark room(s) in one's mind. The ones that you keep locked and only you have the key but don't want to use.

This is one of my favorites. I couldn't listen to it at first without crying but it's been a few years since that happened. Watching you hear it for the first time brought back all that empathetic pain and I cried throughout. Nate's depth and lyrical artistry are what made me appreciate rap in the first place.
I relate to a great majority of his music. There's obvious differences, but his messages hit close to home.

He definitely uses his personal experiences to paint the picture but it's so well done because it is also applicable in general human nature. His songs are like a window into everyone's mind of struggles, reflection, recognition, emotions, dangers. Any of them can pop up at any time. Including humor, confidence, improvement. Life

I went online and shared my story with a total stranger.
It wasn’t my intention, but he told me about his childhood, and once I started I just couldn’t stop.
I was brutally honest about everything for the first time in my life.
Non of my friends would ever be able to understand what I went through and I knew that once I shared, they would never be able to look at me the same way.
I figured it would be safe because I would never have to look this person in the eyes, but what happend was instead of him feeling sorry for me, he was in awe of how far I had come on my own.
We kept talking, and now he is my husband.
3 weeks ago He got a tattoo in honour of my dad who died, leaving me homeless, when I was 16.
He didn’t get to ask for my hand in marriage, but he wanted to make my dad a promise.
