  • Hello guys, welcome to my channel and to my reaction to the third episode of the third season of Peaky Blinders.
Today, we're in for a shock, Tommy struggles to find his way again but find out about a mole in the Russian business, revenge is dished out, Arthur has happy news and we get a great insight into the heads of the Shelby family members.

Great episode and reaction. I think you summed up the complicated plot with the Russians really well at the start and i had never thought of this episode as an insight into the Shelby brothers minds until you said. Loving your reactions!

Thank you, glad that you liked it. :)
I think the show does a great job to tell us about how the characters feel, their motivations and backstory through scenes that interweave with the bigger picture and the overarching story. It's obviously the same here, but the whole situation surrounding Grace's death gave more room to characters to express emotions and feelings.

I don't think Grace did anything to earn the term good woman. Let's think about this:
She was appointed by the british police as spy, she fell in love with the person she's spying on (so far so good, she's just fickle)
She's pressured by Campbell to give up Tommy's guns (again, she was pressured but she still betrayed Tommy, fickle and untrustworthy)
After Tommy had finally moved on and she got married, she calls Tommy up and cheats on her husband (Now she's a cheater) She also ruined the horse lady's relationship with Tommy, who was a widow and probably not a cheater (no evidence of it anyway)
As soon as she marries Tommy, she does a 180 degree change, nothing but demands, a short temper and no respect for Tommy's boundaries. "I want this I want that! Hurry up! Why are you not answering me?!" Bam bam bam. Just no regard.
Then she's shot. I fail to see any reason here to label her as a "good" woman by any stretch.

Tommy was more than happy about what John did to the Italians, so I'd say he is at more fault than John is, since Tommy could have apologized like aunt Polly and/or Arthur suggested.

He could've apologized, that's true, but he was only told about this after John already cut Angel, which was the breaking point for Sr. Changretta I guess, so that would've made it pretty hard to mend this whole situation. But you're right, he definitely should've tried to do so, instead of further escalating the situation by taking their pubs.
So Tommy and John are both responsible, but in this particular case I would say that John did most of the damage.

@@AngusSees yeah true john started it, but there is a difference imo between saying "okay you fucked up but what is done is done now we will act in the best way to make the most out of this situation" and "I'm proud of you John, you did what should have been done, we'll never apologize they should have known to stay in line" and if you look at the people in the room they were all expecting Tommy to kinda scold him but Tommy did quite the opposite. Anyway, keep up the good work 💪🏻

But if Ayda goes to Boston. For Legit work. People in Boston don't know Shelbys the same way. So she can have a more normal life. And she prefers the Political climate too.
