Fun fact, Tony Martins vocals on this song were all done in one take. By the end he wanted to do another take but Cozy and Iommi told him no and that it was perfect; They were impressed by his performance.
Laurence Cottle is killing it in this whole album, especially Nightwing
Nightwing, Kill In The Spirit World and When Death Calls are three incredible tracks and Tony Martin's vocals for me have never been better. Headless Cross is up there with the very best Heavy Rock/Metal albums of all time.

@@kerriloid_ Dio is was unbelievably talented and I liked what he did however for the style of music that Black Sabbath plays and for the lyrics that Tony Martin wrote for these albums no other singer that they've had could have pulled this off and made it sound so cohesive. Tony Martin's range back then was phenomenal. ( It still is for a man his age today) it was unreal and he showed it on every album.

I think the new remixed albums are so much better and as a long time Black Sabbath fan I think looking back over history it is clear to me that Tony Martin is the best singer the band ever had because of his voice and range he is the only one who could sing any song on all 19 albums.

Either it's my impression or each one recorded their audio on separate days and then mixed it. I hear it as if they never saw each other's faces in the studio, I don't hear that feeling of playing together.
