- In this video you can see me make what is called a “cube twist” drawer pull. It is a simple technique often demonstrated by blacksmiths to make handles and tools.

One of the absolute coolest things I've ever seen! Anybody can throw an old handle on a drawer. A few can make a handle to put on said drawer. But only Jimmy can take a rather mundane concept like a drawer handle and make something that's just downright cool. Absolutely fantastic.
This is why I love watching Jimmy's videos. He isn't just any skilled labourer; he's an artist! The guy isn't even a proper blacksmith and he created that masterpiece 🙇
hey jimmy, if you want an easy hold down tool with great holding power is an old motorcycle chain. fasten one end to the base that your anvil is on and on the other end weld on a piece of stock that is hitting the floor at a slight angle. pick up the chain put whatever you want held down under it and step on the end with the stock and your own weight holds the piece down.
I hope this kind of works never die! In the future this will be probably unpossible to find...
Hi there Jimmy, I discovered your videos a few months ago, and by now I've watched almost 90% of them, but the only one thing I learnt from you is that: Any thing is possible & I thank you for that!!!! 😊 👍 ♥
A perfect example of elevating a basic material into something sublime. You're a true artist jimmy
Only Jimmy can make something so simple so damn cool
I read a comment recently that mentioned Diresta's love of Alvin and Chipmunks music. Now I can never unhear Alvin in these videos.
I'm speechless! That's the coolest drawer pull ever.
I just forged five of these for my kitchen cabinets. I think it is one of the coolest twists for this application. Great Job!
Diresta never ceases to amaze me! Talk about inspiration!
That's a lot of work for A drawer pull...respect!
By far my favourite Diresta vid so far, gonna try this out for a ring band
I love how it just forms that way when twisted, amazingly cool looking chunk of steel. Now with all of the dirt and oil from hands it will look even more defined over time.
skilled blacksmith, not skilled, ha! ya all missin the point. when you need to make something, don't be afraid. do it! that's how you become skilled. great job jimmy. can't wait to se what comes next. you have inspired me to try all kinds of new techniques.
That took serious dedication given how manual every step was, bravo!
Really cool technique for that spiral design!
jimmy DiResta is the most creative man in the world
Jimmy knocks it out of the park as usual
That is so freaking cool looking. What an amazing visual step up from a normal twisted bar!
It's never too much trouble to make nice. Thanks JD.
I think of all your creations that ive seen, this is the one im most jealous of

Those would make some awesome handles for entry doors. Great job Jimmy DiResta
there can never be enough DiResta videos!
I love how the audio was left in, hilarious. That mini sledge might as well be an impact!
A complex finished look from a simple and relatively easy technique, nice!
To go from being a novice blacksmith to making something like that is awesome well done!
Wild. Just incredible fun to watch . Loved the Rivet making at the end. What creativity.
Nice. I really like how the cubes separate because of those notches you made and the way they twist.
The best idea I have ever seen. All the thanks from Mexico. Keep going
That is the most badass drawer handle I've ever seen
That's the most amazing drawer pull I've seen!
Beautiful! I respect the fact that you went "old school" with the creation of it!
Best looking pocket catcher I've seen!
Dude, you are a hacksawing beast.
+confiscator Bet that part was shown at 1x speed, too.
That could the coolest drawer handle I have ever seen.
After watching so many DiResta videos, I think the question has gone from "what can Jimmy do?" to "what CAN'T Jimmy do?" Amazing as always. Can hardly wait for the next one!
+john hanrahan Next week Jimmy builds a mini Nuclear Reactor. :).
Lakes57 LOL! If anybody could, it would be him, and out of old car parts and microwave ovens.
One badass handle that'll last for generations.
I hope that someday I will be as fast with a hacksaw as him
😂
+Sipezinga lol. Hacksaw and Factory stainless exhaust. never again.
+Sipezinga Not only as fast but as straight.....
+Sipezinga Or you could invest in a band saw.

Man, I love a good cube twist. I'm amazed you stuck with the hack saw for the cuts, a lesser man would have gabbed the grinder.
Beautifully creative!!! Every video of yours and David's I watch inspires me more!
Turned out beautifully! Great idea!
As soon as I saw the overalls, I paused the video and hit that like button. Overalls game is on point. Can't believe people have disliked this video. Overalls haters. Haters gon hate.
