FramePerfect at least in a brick house you wont die by shrapnel piercing through your exterior walls...and even if the brick walls suffer substantial damage, everything inside it wont be completely destroyed because, you know, the house didnt get completely demolished. now, in what world do thin wood walls have better insulation than brick? And im sorry to burst your bubble, but "you havent been there" doesnt apply for factual discussion. a structural engineer can tell you all about how earthquake-proof skyscrapers work, without living in an earthquake-prone area.
That was impeccable editing right up until that last scene where suddenly hes 4 times larger than everything around him and terribly green screened into a doorway
It's always amazes me, in a way, to see the sheer level of destruction a tornado can leave behind when it hits places like Florida. Here in Brazil practically all houses are built with solid walls of bricks and concrete. The roof might come off if it is not contrete as well, and the houses might get flooded, but the structure ia way more sturdy than wooden frames and drywall. Much more expensive too, so I guess I can see the benefits.
Solid walls are very bad when it comes to earthquakes, or anything else that can shake the house significantly. Ideal is metal frame with large I-beams. However, that's costly, and mostly used in commerical buildings.
my house in hungary (where no natural disasters happen anyway but i wanna comment) i got walls made out of very very compressed dirt and hay. Its almost a meter thick. It would take quite a lot to bring it down

haha, it's fine, wouldn't pity a dumbass like you for getting an ef5 down your house and you lost everything to a tornado. If you don't know how tough a concrete with concrete brick house is, compared to some naked brick or simply plywood houses, I remembered when my house was undergoing renovation, it took 2 days for 2 guys to sledgehammer and drill down just a door size area of wall. Now if you want to seriously die a gruesome death in a tornado region, I am fine as fuck away from EVERY common disaster here in Malaysia. Not even a 30m flood would affect me since my house stands at higher slope region of my neighborhood. Plus, the windows have taken punches from me and it isn't some shitty glass you would use for your house in 'murica or some shit that breaks from just shockwaves, random sound or stone throws. Live in tornado region on earth, approve for such atrocious housing design... I am fucking amazed by what the fuck are your states thinking all the time. Even the high schools and buildings over here are solid. Meanwhile in US, Aus, and plenty of other countries I am too lazy to mention about, the suburb planning is flawed, space is wasted, the building design and material used are flawed, and cost 2~5x the price of what the money can buy over here. Then spends trillions on war that doesn't do shit other than the obvious result which is the isis is growing and expanding their influence. In the end of the day, either you and your citizen do something about it, or enjoy gruesome death 24/7/365, and nobody cares. I am giving an advice, and plenty of youtuber have taken them down as if *'murica numba wan* or some shit. Just like gun control, I haven't heard a news bout gun killing in my country for weeks now, except msn updating gun killings *AT LEAST* 3 times a day.

I'm in Oklahoma and I live in a brick house so oof.
you guys have never heard of drywall?

RIP to all those studio apartment renters.
In Iraq there's nothing called a wooden house everything is built on hard ground and hard materials like bricks and cement and stuff....
@@litigioussociety4249 just build a commieblock
Did you ever think there is a reason for this? Its obviously not because we don't know any better than Brazil or Iraq....
my house in hungary (where no natural disasters happen anyway but i wanna comment) i got walls made out of very very compressed dirt and hay. Its almost a meter thick. It would take quite a lot to bring it down

How to save your life and also your home? BUILD HOUSES OF CONCRETE INSTEAD OF FUCKING PLYWOODS OR BARE SHIT QUALITY BRICKS.
This.
and get burried alive or crushed by a concrete wall eh?
haha, it's fine, wouldn't pity a dumbass like you for getting an ef5 down your house and you lost everything to a tornado.

@@anengineer152 true, here in the Philippines we make houses out of concrete, idk why americans use wood and plaster like thats gonna break easily

I was wondering that too xDˣᴰ this sht makes no sense
Same but my walls are a foot thick, why? I dont know
@@pixeldinoeditz For heat isolation (or is it insulation?) in cold winters, thick walls help to trap the heat inside hence reducing the cost. Also its just how houses where build here (Germany) for centurys, people dont know and especially dont want it any other way. I mean if you invest in a house it better last for 100 years or more rather then just 10 years. Ive been to America just last week actually and was shocked at the quality of their houses, and we were even staying in a wealthy gated community, but still their front door was of worse quality then the doors inside of our house. And yes the walls really feel like you could punch throug them xD
