For those who are confused officer Chen (the girl in the car) she was going undercover to stop the the people in the car from selling a LARGE amount of dr#gs. The officer that pulled them over knew it was Chen so he pulled them over to make sure that she was okay.l

Actually he pulled her over before he knew it was Lucy but he had to act normally otherwise the criminals would get suspicious

they came up with that code before she went uc, they use something that the criminals won’t be able to know and when you go uc you need to know how to act even in front of someone you know and pretend you don’t know them, that’s one of the main things they train for :)

Well actually in a show you are restricted with time. So you can not insert all the details that happens in real life.
This goes for almost all types of shows, cops, hospitals and even just regular family life.

For people who don’t understand: This clip is from a show on Netflix called The Rookie. The girl in the car is Lucy Chen, and she is a cop that is going undercover in this clip. She is going undercover to stop the guys in the car with her from selling large amounts of drugs. The male cop who comes and pulls them over is Tim Bradford and he works with Lucy. So Tim knew what was going on, and he only pulled them over to see if Lucy was okay. Since Tim knew what was going on he let them off with a warning after Lucy fake flirted with him. Because he couldn’t just let them off with a warning for absolutely no reason or else the guys in the car with Lucy would get suspicious.
