As you talked about small community where communism worked, I though of our family system, wherein a person (father) works hard the most and earns for the whole family and another person (mother) assists him running the family and remaining participants of the group (the children) do very minimal amount of work but everybody in this house gets equal treatment as per her/his needs.

No, the children do not get equal treatment as adults. Children do not own the income in the family equally. They infact don't own the income. The mother owns very less income in family. The father decides who gets how much. This is not communism. Under communism there won't be any income everyone would be of equal social and economic status. No one will be dependent on other member.

Dhruv, I really appreciate your videos but in this part, found some parts heavily missing. So will point out here
1. Lenin appreciated Rosa Luxembourg's thought but at that time all other major parties were pro-Tsar, who had been dictatorial to Russia so in beginning, One-Party State was necessary. And Lenin was open to criticism so he favoured his fierce rival Leon Trotsky as his successor and not Stalin. (It's different that Stalin used wrong ways to gain power).
Infact ,any intellectuals have been supporters of Lenin like Albert Einstien, Bhagat Singh, Bal Gangadhar Tilak to create a Democratic Thought.
2. Stalin and Mao had many wrong doings but with that, under them their countries achieved a lot too. Better economy, better social structure, nation building practise and free from Imperial Powers. Moreover Stalin led USSR only saved us from Hitler. Still their version of state capitalism was as bad as crony capitalism.
3. Don't restrict Communist Movements to just Russian/Chinese kind of Communist Revolutions. Communists movements have been part of revolutions all over the world. Like mostly Anti-War Movements (especially in West), Indian Independence Movements, Unitarian Movements (Like opposition to 1947 Partition), Anti apparthied Movements. And in many countries infact, Communists have helped to create most Pro-Democracy Atmosphere like Latin America, South Africa, South Asia.
