This case was on Deadly Women. Katherine was married before but that husband left because she threatened him. While the were in bed, he happened to turn over and he saw her knives were hanging off the ceiling directly over him. Dude booked it. He tried to warn the second husband to leave katherine but unfortunatley that never happened.

Okay so I'm from New South Wales Australia and the town Aberdeen, where the murder occurred, I live about an hour away from it. Since it's quite close in distance, I know a few people associated with her. Never met her though since this crime took place before I was born.
The family of her victim meet up once a year to reunite and keep John's memory alive which is so touching. He was a highly liked man in the community from what I've been told. I mutually know a few family members of his and hers. But the closest connection I got is that my Mother's work client/friend was right next to her cell in Silverwater and apparently Katherine is really nice.
They regard her as the Granny of the prison since she's been serving her sentence for a while and she's old. Apparently she excels in art, she does some orgami and even sells her work to raise money for the jail. I've been told that she usually saves the conflicts within the prison and tries to keep the peace between everyone.
Many prisoners there, nearly all, run by anything they want to do by her. She's kind of like the boss I guess you could say. And obviously people don't wanna go against her wishes since she's committed such an evil crime. So she runs the prison unit she's in, which is apparently the highest kind of wing for the most dangerous prisoners.
I'm shocked as to how many people speak so highly of her. Even the guards. They all insist that she's really nice now but in my opinion whether she is what they say, her crime is so horrific that I don't think her being a decent person now matters. She committed such a horrible crime, she cut the throat of a puppy, she beat people with frying pans, etc. I don't think she even deserves to have access to art supplies and craft stuff but doesn't matter, it's not like she's going anywhere.

Guys, there is a time that you need to stop thinking with your little head. If nothing else clues you in to when that is, being attacked with a knife is it. Change the locks and even if she shows up naked on your doorstep, don't let her in. No climax is worth dealing with that level of psycho.

It was originally on NBC. That's one of the reasons why they didn't get the funding for a 4th season, because they thought the interest wasn't there, but it was more about the fact that being on free-to-air TV meant it had a much smaller audience. Such an amazing show, I'm still hoping for a Season 4, and that Netflix or someone picks it up.

I think the reason some women are quick to push for marriage in a relationship is because there's more pressure on them to be married and to have kids. A woman who's unmarried after a certain age is an "old maid" or people make jokes that she's probably a "crazy cat lady". Women who choose to be single and childless, like myself, are looked at as being abnormal, even defective. Society doesn't give a second thought to men who choose to stay single, especially if they have multiple girlfriends. They're a "ladies man" and seen as living their best life without the burdens of a family.

    • @mortimerbrewster3671
      @mortimerbrewster3671 Před 2 lety +3

I can't speak to the world but in most of the US the idea of "old maid" and "crazy cat lady" are old-fashioned ideas. As a woman in my 50s who never married or had children, I've lived in several areas of the country and never felt a societal pressure to bend to marriage or have children. People would ask if I were married or had children and then ask why I never have but more out of curiosity or conversation, not censure. I think older women who are pressuring for marriage it is more about security. Two incomes (or even just living off of his income/retirement) is a safer position to be in for retirement unless the woman has managed to save a large retirement for herself.

@@pookiesis1465 how do you view having kids or getting married as not “successful”.
Miss I mean this with most sincerity when I tell you. Success isn’t that hon.
There’s nothing successful or happy to be about working as a cog in a factory, or as another cubicle for a multi billion dollar company. Any man will tell you apart from the act of working itself which is somewhat full filling... there is nothing that gives them more joy then not doing the job and getting to do other things.
Miss those people don’t ask you that out of sexism or simply an idea. They ask you that because that is what they call a true pass for success. The same applies to men. Do you think we are never asked “have you found the one yet...?” Or “What does she look like?”.
Look I won’t say you shouldn’t pursue your dreams and all. But don’t go thinking that is success or what other people consider it to be. The facts are this....
A huge percentage of divorces in America are initiated by the female partner. Oftentimes being the breadwinner in the family... (the person who makes the most money). Woman today have a higher attempted suicide rate then men. Woman in general are more unhappy and depressed... and...
They directly correlate with woman’s increased productivity in the workforce on a market level (not jobs relating to home, not back by a corporation)
Woman are increasingly more and more unhappy with their lot in life when they pick to go to college and become “successful” people. Fact is you are not successful if you are living home alone by age 30... and I don’t mean that as an insult. I mean it genuinely. People who are within that age who have refused, had or just never married before report being alarmingly depressed and sad. This is also the age when a good number of single 30 year olds kill themselves.
It’s not me. People who live it don’t consider it success. Not even men. So truly...
What do you view those people who ask you “are you married yet” or “you have any kids now” as being or doing? They aren’t being sexist or blind to your achievements miss. They just don’t consider those to be as important as these... and the truth is. You should too.
Given all the statistical evidence and woman who’ve grown miserable believing the idea of “girl power”... no there is no girl or boy power... that’s as childish as when we would make teams in kindergarten based on the “boys vs girls”. It’s “human power”. Please miss. Believe me when I tell you anyone who says woman should go against this is lying to you.
Those same people will not even remember your name with the next month... much less care about what happened to you a year or two from now. As good as it is... going to college to become a mindless worker drone, working for some million dollar company or making butt loads of money are not signs of success and will not bring you happiness. It is true fulfillment in life that will and becoming your true self.
I really hope you take what I said in mind. Or at least do some more research and look for actual woman with real experience unlike people from the view and a journalist website. Woman like the “submissive” girl from Tik Tok. (Admittedly I forgot her name... I just recently discovered her, you can probably find their videos on CZcams by looking up what I just said).
Please do. I really wanna see women truly succeed and not feel ruined later in life because of a mass marketed lie that becoming a worker ant for the colony somehow makes you feel fulfilled. It’s a lie. Don’t believe it.

@@pookiesis1465 also now onto the actual argument lol.
Sorry I just needed to warn you miss. I’d say there is a lot of difference between the Middle East and how truly sexist they are... and America. The truth is people who say that to you don’t view that because you are a woman. Again men deal with that too... you haven’t been a man until your friend group says “ahhh you like her don’t you...”
It’s just that the sexes have different roles to fulfill in their relationship. It’s been like that for all of human history. Don’t view those remarks as them saying “you’re a woman so you better do this...” view them as “you are a woman who naturally does this so did you...”
Also again the Middle East and America are just vastly different. I mean it when I say this doesn’t happen pretty much anyone but under-developing countries...

It comes from a complete lack of compassion, respect, or empathy. You guys were dead on about how the FUCK you're capable of just looking at someone you were just intimate hours before, and then skinning and butchering them. Trust me, MrBallen kind of dropped the ball here by underselling just how bad she was. Let me be blunt: Katherine Knight was not a normal woman who "snapped." She was a violently unstable woman with *years* of aggressive and abusive behavior, especially towards partners, although she was infamous for randomly attacking people out on the town she lived in. Her slashing John with a knife wasn't something he caused, she was just very quick to hitting her partners with whatever she had on hand because she was taught by her mother to hate and distrust men. Her first husband, she attempted to strangle on their wedding night because he went to sleep after the third round of sex. She'd later crack his skull with a frying pan for coming home late from a dart competition, which induced him to run away. She left her own daughter on train tracks shortly before a train was scheduled to run through, though thankfully locals rescued the infant. She took people hostage to force them to drive her to where her escaped husband was suspected to be so she could kill him and his mother. Etc etc.
Basically, she was a monstrous bitch who was sexually aroused by blood and death (she was reported to enjoy her job as a butcher to an unhealthy degree). There's little to nothing sympathetic about her, and she should have been thrown in jail long before she was. Her conviction stipulating that she could never be freed wasn't based on just the raw horror of the murder but the consistent characterization of her by psychologists examining her as a belligerent sociopath. She refused any responsibility for her actions, took visceral sexual pleasure in causing death and pain, and demonstrated sustained impulses to commit violent acts, so she'd almost certainly keep attacking or even killing people so long as she remained free.
