  • A brief video on a 1973 CT90 I picked up. I think these are the best of the CT90s, they have the telescopic forks, hi-lo ratio, 4 speed, passenger footpegs, spare gas can and the hi altitude knob on the carb. This one has a key and a title, prices can range from $1000 to $3000. I would have expected prices on these to have dropped due to the new CT125 you can buy from Mr Honda but these are in such short supply many people are still buying used.

I had one just like this and I would love to get one again. I was 14 and growing up in small town Oklahoma. This gave me freedom and fun.

I tell ya, l wish my '74 was as clean as that. I got it 2yrs ago for $100, with a little work and a new carb and tires, it is a fun little ride. It is Orange so l named it DREAMSICLE.

The only thing i dont like about the 125 is it does not have the high low ,or the qwik release handle bar

I am very very interested about picking one of these up if I decide I want to commute via motorcycle

As long as you're not doing more than 10 miles or so, otherwise there's better commuters out there.

@@lr882027 it’s 7.5 one way. I like the size of these.

@@lr882027 no kidding.. commuting on one is like making your daily driver a billy goat. 😃

Totally manual, totally old school .. you won't buy a "decent one" for anywhere near what you're saying. They're not commuters, they are great little off road goats, but you better enjoy learning how to look after/fix them. By comparison imho.. a 40 yr old trail 125 would be far more complex and less reliable.

Not so sure you're right on the pricing, I had a beautiful 78 CT90 in yellow that I couldn't give away, got $2,200 for it in the end (June 2023). Bargains are out there, the overpriced ones tend to sit on CL/FBMP for a long time. A year ago I may have got three grand, pricing has gotten soft over the last 12 months.

@@lr882027 the comment was referencing someone who said they bought one for $100 and it only needed tires and a little tweaking. That would be unrealistically cheap! We paid 2K cad for a nice one. The person we bought if from bought a trail 125. Her complaints about the 125.. 1st is too tall, it's much heavier and no hi/low trans which she used a lot. Our Himmi by comparison weighs in at a porky 425 lbs, that's more than twice the ct90 if you find yourself underneath it. 😲 Great overview, thanks!

I have a 46 year old trail 125 and the complexity is about the same and it is very reliable…
