This is the stuff of dreams! So looking forward to planting our berries in a permanent home, but alas, ours have been surviving for 2-3 years in sad little pots too haha. The work will be SO worth it when you're swimming in berry jams, jellies, and pies down the line! (Total aside on the netting around the trees - frogs, snakes, and the like love getting stuck in it... ask me how I know! Many a creature was saved from the plastic prison, lol).

I love your videos!!! Instead of playing the cardboard saving game i bought a huge roll of paper in the painters section of home Depot for laying down for a weed barrier❤

Great video! Its awesome to see the progression around the property and in the gardens. Just a heads up on the blueberries, they are supposedly on the more difficult side of berries and require very acidic nutrient rich soil with good aeration for the roots. I'll probably do mine in a raised bed this year to control the soil parameters the best I can while they get established

May I make a suggestion used coffee grounds are wonderful for the garden you can ask local coffee shops to keep them for you normally free as long as you supply the containers and collect them Pete cape Town south Africa 🇿🇦 😅

Looking good! We’ve been on our property 11 years, we planted berries and orchard 4 years ago but if we had it to do over, we would’ve planted it all 11 years ago! When it comes to trees and berries, plant more than you think you want!! **Also, I believe I noticed one elderberry, just fyi..you need another one to pollinate. (You probably knew this but) Everything looks great!
I think you need to find a plave to put a fire pit.

Hey guys... Just a thought... The best and easiest way to do berries is yhe way more than Farmers have their Raspberries set up. Easy to harvest and easy to maintain. T posts 3' to 4' wide with ome cross nar farther down on the T post and wire run from one side to the other to kind of trellis the berry bushes. Check it out... Blackberries can be done this way too. Oh and he keeps them from spreading by rototilling along each side pf the trellises to keep any seedlings from spreading the plants.
We are planning to do exactly what Codi & Michele did with their raspberry trellis. Loved their setup!

How do you feel about ceiling fans now that you have been in the house for a while? I live in Florida and the fans move the air when the humidity is high.
We have nothing against ceiling fans. Everything in this house when we moved here needed to go since it was moldy, etc. That being said, we don’t feel like we need to reinstall them. We have a box fan that we use for noise to sleep & that moves air very well, but we only use it at night. It doesn’t get too humid in here, even without any central air systems.

We’ve always had the truck. It’s the only vehicle we have that works right now, actually 😅
