    home work answer - because there has to be enough raindrops reflecting the sunlight and a dark background of our eyes to detect the different wavelengths of the light thet is being reflected. and even it needs certain angle to be formed :)

    Homework:-
    We can't see rainbow everytime because it needs the rain and sunlight at a proper angle of incidence for dispersion

  • @singwithananya3682
    @singwithananya3682 Před 2 lety +4

    Question:Why don't I see rainbows everytime when it rains?
    Ans:-When the sun comes out after a rainstorm, sometimes there's still a lot of water in the air. The sun shines through the water drops, causing the light to refract. Then when it bends, we can see all the separate colours making a rainbow in the sky.

    Homework :-
    Case 1 - For rainbow to occur firstly there should be a proper angle of 40 to 42 degrees of incidence.
    Case 2 - Maybe there is pollution in air .
    Case 3 - Maybe sun is not present to provide sunlight.
    Thank You sir for osm session : )

    Because it requires a particular angle and also after rain , sun should be out . Seeing a 360 degree rainbow is more rare .

    HOME WORK
    The Sun needs to be below 40° above the horizon to see a rainbow, and at that high of an angle, the rainbow won't be very good. Rainbows are best in when they form less than an hour or so after sunrise or less than an hour or so before sunset. Rain needs to be falling opposite the Sun.

    To see a rainbow, we need the rain, we need sunlight, and we need the appropriate angles of incidence of the light and for reflection and refraction to our eyes.

    HOMEWORK QUESTION ANSWER : Because the sun doesn’t always shine after rain. Cloud cover and nighttime are problematic. You need sunlight refracting through raindrops to get a rainbow.

    HOMEWORK - rainbow is a meteorological phenomenon that is caused by reflection, refraction and dispersion of light in water droplets resulting in a spectrum of light appearing in the sky. It takes the form of a multicoloured circular arc. Rainbows caused by sunlight always appear in the section of sky directly opposite the Sun.
