I guess I'll hold off on my Railjet Business Class video for the time being, seeing as you've done this one! I really love it though, it's a great service at a great price and very comfortable seats. A bargain really for the length of journey! Interesting I never knew the Red sets went to Praha, I've only ever seen blue ones there, but you explained it well 🙏🏻😊🇨🇿
Thanks so much! I totally agree, Railjet is a great service for good price. Yes, several connections between Graz - Prague are also operated by red ÖBB sets. ČD owns only 7 Railjet units, but finally, the ratio of ČD and ÖBB on this route should be balanced, ČD supplies most of the units, the locomotives are all from ÖBB and about 2 turnovers are supplemented by ÖBB units.
Na Railjetech mě baví, jak se střídají různě barevné Taurusy nebo soupravy :D Jinak suprové video!
Díky moc! Jo, věčně je přehazují, už jsem měl na Railjetu i Tauruse ÖBB Cargo a v Rakousku občas lze potkat s Railjetem i Taurus v Barvách Nightjet :-D

Thanks :-) Btw. currently, all Railjet trains already run via Praha hl.n. (Main station), most connections are now operated by blue ČD Railjet sets, which differ in the arrangement of 1st and Business class (I also have a video from ČD Railjet).

Ani nevím proč, ale jsem rád, že Vindobona je seřazena ze soupravy vozů Viaggio Comfort. To jméno z dávné slávy si to zaslouži.
(to samé si myslím o Hungarii, Slovenské střele, nebo Polonii... vlastně můžeme být rádi, že ony ještě jezdí...)
Mně, osobně, se české provedění líbí víc, kromě farebné schémy taky složení, jsou vhodnější naším možnostem (místo jednoho vozu 1. třídy je 2., teda pro peněženky naše).
Dal bych se navést na takovou jízdu, fajn reportáž, jak obvykle.👍
Díky moc :-) Také jsem rád za toto řazení vlaku. Jinak barevně se mi také víc líbí ČD souprava, ale u ÖBB se mi líbí, že má Business lépe oddělený a má také v 1. třídě quiet zone.
Bohužel Hungarii teď od platnosti nového grafikonu zkazili, jednak je vlak rozdělen v Praze na dvě části, a navíc MÁV souprava nyní nejezdí na spoji, označeném jako Hungaria (jako Hungaria nyní jezdí ČD souprava), ale jako klasický Metropolitan a druhá polovina jako Berliner.. Doufám že to je jen kvůli těm výlukám a příští rok se vše vrátí do původního stavu.

Thanks, Pete! Listen, the train you offered us is magnificent. The renovation inside is very beautiful, it is exceptional. You have shown us magnificent landscapes. The configuration is special, in the good sense of the word. I really like the space, the storage, the "shop" for eating, the "kitchen", the spaces for the disabled, the development of the territory... It's exceptional, what. On the other hand, I find that the prices between the economy class and the most expensive are very distant. Economics will suffice for us, you know. It's really expensive to travel at such high prices, when you take a class like you. With an economy class, you can travel more and it pays for other things.
Thank you so much Louis! Yes, this train is very nice and contains everything a good international train should have :-) As for the price, there's a difference and usually 2nd class is enough. I took the highest class because I wanted to show all classes more detailed. Usually I travel in 1st class in domestic section, because I have upgrade card to 1st class so I pay 2nd class for 1st class. Greetings :-)

Wow never seen a train so devoid of passengers like this, kudos to the train operators keeping services running through the pandemic I hope we passengers repay them by using the train , here in Ireland I’m leaving the car at home and using the train a lot more now
Not completely. Most trains in the section Prague - Brno are crowded, especially in 2nd class. This was emptier because it was Saturday morning and another reason is that premium classes are not so much used in the Czech Republic due to higher price without discounts. 2nd class was quite busy on this train, so I showed only one car, where there were fewer passengers (quiet car).

Cześć Piotrek :-) Yes, the weather was beautiful, one of few sunny days. Trip was good, and this is normal occupation in Saturday morning, when I showed the 2nd class cat, I skipped one more crowded and 1st class is usually empty on weekends :-) Btw. originally I planned to take a train 2 hours before, but finally I chose this one because was less crowded.

Very nice video. The trains named "Vindobona" Between Vienna and Prague (and beyond) have been around for many decades. I guess it would be a good idea to make a video on history of this train, describing the routes it used to take, the rolling stock, travelling time etc. BTW, what's that noise, occasionally heard in the backgroud? Sounds like your coach had a "flat tyre".
Thanks so much! It's a good idea! Btw. I traveled along original Vindobona route last summer (Wien Franz Josefs Bf - Gmünd - České Velenice - Praha hl.n.). But now it needs to transfer at České Velenice. Yes, it sounds as a wheel flat spot, especially when the train ran faster.

Love this great explainer video, Pete! I noticed you also picked seat 55 in your previous Prague-Vienna railjet trip in 2020. Does that side of the train have a better "scenic view", or do you just prefer that single compartment?
Thanks so much! I took this seat due to single compartment :-) But better views are on the right hand side (in the direction of travel).

Díky :-) Jindřichohradeckou úzkokolejku mám v plánu, jen chci aby nebyla taková zima.. přeci jen ve velkých městech se dá čekání na přestup alespoň přečkat někde v nákupáku, ale na lokálkách často nejsou ani čekárny :-D

Thanks so much Linda! Yes, especially ÖBB Railjet is great, I like the Business class on these trains! The Kometa Expres is just an advertising sticker on one of the ČD' locomotives. This is an advertisement for the Kometa Brno hockey club, a few years ago this locomotive hauled a special train for fans of this hockey club. As for the train with this locomotive in my video, it is the EC Jižní Express that runs on the route Prague - Linz, this service departs / terminates at Praha-Holešovice station.

Will reconstruction of main railway corridor via Pardubice result in faster speeds?
The journey will probably not be faster, perhaps a few minutes, but the reconstruction should increase the capacity of the railway corridor and thus eliminate delays.

Hi, do you know how long time we need in Breclav station for connection? I booked a train from Vienna - Prauge(with OBB Railjet), ticket shows in have 3 minutes to get connection in Breclav. Is 3 minutes enough for train change? 😢
Hi, why will you transfer at Břeclav? If you travel the Vienna - Prague route by Railjet train, these trains are direct without the need to change trains.
@@PeteBrandy at 18:10 from Vienna Hbf to Prauge it shows a transfer in Breclav. From EC 100 to EC 572

@yusufguner9864 Transferring between EC trains is quite risky, it usually works out, because EC trains in the direction from Budapest to Prague are often late and usually stop at the same platform, but if the train from Vienna leaves later, it depends on the conductor whether he can delay the next train for transferring passengers. Btw. an hour later (at 19:10.) there is still a direct Railjet train from Vienna to Prague
@@PeteBrandy thanks for your replies. The problem is i can' t cancel my tickets, there is no cancelation option. Is there any way i can cancel current tickets? This is my first Vienna visit that' s why i don' t know very well how should i go and i realized that transfer after i booked my tickets :(
@yusufguner9864 If you have the whole journey within one ticket, the carrier is responsible for the missed transfer... in the worst case, you would have to wait for the next (Railjet) train at Breclav station, domestic tickets within the Czech Republic are not expensive. But in any case, I recommend informing the conductor on the train so that he knows about you, there will probably be more passengers with the same transfer.
i wish you traveled like a normal person, would love to see a review of the trip compared to alternatives like flixbus.

To jo, jako kupéčka chybí, ale zas když je vlak plný, tak je lepší solo sedačka ve velkoprostoru než se mačkat s dalšíma lidma v kupé.

A pak ať mi někdo zkusí tvrdit, že kupéčka jsou přežitek... Takhle má za mě vypadat první třída.
Tohle je myslím trend, kterým by se to mělo ubírat.. podobně řešené je to např. v některých typech ICE, kde jsou tzv. semi-compartments (ICE-T) a nebo kombinace velkoprostoru a plnohodnotných kupé (ICE1)
Train exterior and windows look dirty. Is Business Class superior to First Class?
This is probably due to the fact that the train arrives in Berlin in the evening and returns to Vienna early in the morning.
