Eric, awesome video! I like seeing the little dog develop situational awareness for his own safety. I followed another dairy for a while, an organic dairy. Unfortunately, the CZcamsr accidentally ran over his favorite barn cat. He was black, and I think his name was Felix. I felt bad for the guy, but he handled it well, saying he did all he could to look out for the cats. Unfortunately, this kind of stuff can occur on a farm. I agree with the others. A sitdown with dad to discuss the farm changes and outlook/vision would be great.
Eric - Now that the weather finally broke how much of an increase will you see in milk production? Mornings in the 40's and afternoons in the 60's has to be perfect for them.

Just a thought. If you weld a square plate on the movable post to match the plug it might help clear debris and help keep the holes cleaner over the years. That’s a great idea on pen sizing.

Y’all put a lot of thought into this barn. I really like how you designed it so you can make the pins bigger or smaller. I would have loved to have a barn like that back in the 60’s and 70’s when we were in the dairy business.
Really enjoyed watching the place change for the better they seemed to love the extra space to walk around which is good for being locked in a pen so be good for cow health and happiness well done. Make work easier not harder.
