Ah, very interesting technique. I need to try this. One little thing I noticed. Your reference picture shows the bottom left of the leaf to be curled down. The vein follows that curve. Interesting how it conveys that thought by its presence. And the bottom part of the curl seems to be translucent. As if the light is going thru it. I need to try this wet on wet business. I saw you do it with the little girl's face too. Excellent. I think we all learned something very important. Thank you for your instruction.
I heard him say, in a similar video, that it's at between 8 and 10 degrees tilted toward him. So it's tilted a wee bit, but not much. I've seen some artists working on an almost vertical surface. I'm sure you have too. I watched their paint flow down toward the bottom of the picture but stop right at a certain point if the paper was dry there. I think flatter is easier. I don't like to hold my breath and hope that the paint doesn't run down the page and ruin the picture. Excellent question. I don't see anyone ever ask that, and it's (to me) a very important consideration.
I can watch your videos and listen to you all day. Your teaching methods make learning enjoyable. Thank you so much
I absolutely agree...💯💯💯

Gorgeous!! In the last scene of photo, there are glittering something...that seems to be real thing I guess..what is that?
Your paintings are beautiful and very easy to follow your instructions. What paper do you use for your paintings?
The paper I used for this painting is Paul Rubens Watercolor Paper block. Here is the product link on Amazon for more information amzn.to/2SFTsrf
Love this...but have trouble getting the correct "wetness" when starting out....any suggestions?
Loved following along...but boy, mine turned out very badly.
Is your paper flat on a table or in a slope? Very inspiring work! Thank you for sharing!

Do you use cold pressed paper?
