Bills fans were high on O'Cyrus Torrence his rookie year, but most of them never watched any tape. Some content create that do said he had a solid rookie year though
really excellent video! top shelf! i think you might be a little low on Andreessen tho… i know he’s caught us all by surprise… but his block shedding abilities and instinctual trigger, not to mention his 9.36 RAS score… make him much closer to to Bernard. and what a story as the hometown kid walking on! God bless and keep up the great work! subscribed!
Great video James! As a Bills fan with tunnel vision, I would say that we have not drafted "really well" but I appreciate that I am not as zoned in on some of the dumpster fire teams But: In terms of individual picks: Getting jumped by KC for McDuffie and landing with Elam (both getting leapfrogged and doubling down on need after the fact was bad) Drafting Boogie Basham ahead of Creed Humphrey (Morse wasn't extended then) Cody Ford ahead of just about anyone else available at the time Justin Shorter (a projected UDFA) in the 5th round (consensus and myself liked Puka, even as a high day 3 guy ahead of this projected UDFA, but not Beane) In terms of overarching philosophy: Beane tried really hard for a while to get ONE alpha WR type, and once he landed Diggs he just completely lost interest in attaining value at the WR position, and skill positions for many years. Post Diggs and until Kincaid: The Bills' ONLY first round offensive pick was Josh Allen himself. During this time, he also avoided in investing in WRs in FA (never paid a WR aside from Diggs more than $10m/y, constantly went for bargain bin and washed older player options) During that period the highest drafted WR was a 4th rounder, so no 1st, 2nd or 3rd round WRs. No FA investment Forced the Bills to force feed one guy and have all their eggs in one basket, and whaddya know once that "one guy" became disgruntled and his form fell off due to age the Bills began having offensive issues. The Allen 2020 breakout year happened despite atrocious run blocking, and the season ended where the OL (especially the guards) got bullied the fuck out of by KC. That offseason, Beane added only Forrest Lamp at guard, extended our own bad guards and doubled down on DE in the first two rounds. I at the time would have liked EITHER Dickerson over Rousseau or Humphrey over Basham. Granted the first looks like a wash, but the second was a wiff on Beane's part. 2021 resulted in more trashy run blocking and the interior of the pocket being a turnstile (Josh led the league in pressures but also had the best pressure:sack ratio) until we somehow discovered our best LG option was a backup centre very late in the season. This is not how you build around an elite unicorn QB.
In many ways Cook is already elite, he was 4th in rushing and really was not a focus of the offense until Joe Brady took over as Offensive Coordinator. Just think what he might be with an entire season as a focus.
Good stuff ... But didn't give enough credit to Cook... 4th in rushing yards and 3rd amongst running backs in all purpose yards... Pro Bowl.... and that's while being underused by Ken Dorsey .... He already had his breakout....
I think the Bills defense will be higher. With a healthy team and better pass rush, i honestly think the Defense will be top ten as well as the offense. I hated our first round pick this year, and honestly think Beane is the reason Josh has not gone farther. Thanks for the Video, I enjoyed it.

Did you know you put the Jets at 4th? I'm worried you transposed some numbers or mixed them up with another team, or thought it was the AFC East ranking and not the NFL. 4th in the East makes sense, 4th in the league makes me want to send a medical professional to check up on your mental state! EDIT: all that said in jest, but your analysis is very well put together, earned a subscription from me.
kincaid, shakir, samuel, coleman. i'm sorry but i don't see more than 10 teams with a better 4 pass catchers even with just shakir and kincaid. i don't see more than 11 teams with a better 1-2
My man, the Bills have one of the most mish-mash, hodge-podge, duct taped together wr room in the entire league. You gotta be from Orchard Park to type out a take such as yours.

Do you think the Bills are legit Super Bowl contenders this year?
