I think you have to put your sword away at the same time as jumping off of a ledge. I could be wrong, but that seems to be the jist of it from when I've seen it for the first time.
So gossip stones give hints right, they can let you know certain areas are "foolish" and certain areas are " way of the hero" what about the places that are " foolish" that have gossip stones, can they have a himt for way of the hero or are thy all going to be junk hints?

They can have way of the hero hints. Gossip stones aren't item checks. Foolish hints are only for item checks
