      Dear Tina, I appreciate your creativity as a content producer, but I am very worried about something so dangerous near your eyes.
      Such dangerous chemicals and needles near your eyes is spooky.
      Eyesight is so precious and irreplaceable please don't do anything too risky again, just for a video or something like vanity .
      Please be careful and stay safe.
      Kindest regards and best wishes for you and your family.

    I wasn’t really interested in doing eyeliner tattoo because you can tell it’s a tattoo, but doing it on the waterline makes it look more subtle. Ahhh now I’m interested 🤔

      I've never had anyone realize mine was a tattoo until they asked what eyeliner I used and I told them. my liner looks perfect everyday and it's been about four years. you just need to find a good artist who uses the right ink. it's also a great baseline when I want to use a different color liner and can follow my tattoo, and add to the wing if I desire.

      My eyeliner doesn’t even look like eyeliner, it just makes my eyes look awake. You wouldn’t know I have a tattoo on my eye. You are right though that some artists can be heavy handed, so it’s just important to find an artist that has the same vision you do 😊

      @@HauTran-sunfromsouth you definitely have no idea what you're talking about, but if your point was that it's worth it to have permanent makeup done (and by me in the USA it's starting at $500 USD), then you're right. there's different styles you can have done, as with anything, there's good and bad artists, and of course a few techniques that can be used. the xenophobic outlook is not a good one to have.

      I really don't recommend this. I know many people who have done this and it fades into really ugly grey eyeshadow. The tattoo went up to the lid and the ink spread.(it gets worse and worse with aging) Even three of my family memers have done this and regret it. All went to highly skilled professionals and still had that problem so please think again before tattooing your face.🙏🏻

    I swear by lash lifts once you find a reliable artist. Definitely make sure they have good reviews or photos. For 90 dollars my lashes are curled all day every day up to three months. I feel like I get my moneys worth in a week..! The in between of the permed lashes shedding and new lashes growing in can definitely be a little awkward and surprising for some people, but it doesn’t deter me from getting them still, about every 6 months personally so my lashes have a break in between the perm and growing nice and strong again after.

    • @youwokeuplate
      @youwokeuplate Před 5 měsíci +4

      90 is for lift and tint, I’ve been to other places ranging 60-75 but did not always get consistent results/a perfect lift. Obviously everyone is different this was just my experience w the local places I tried. I don’t mind the 90 my new lady charges bc she is right by my house and knocks it out of the park every time.

      I started using the ordinary lash serum religiously once a day and seriously my lashes started growing up and staying that way even after washing my face. I don’t even use a lash curler anymore much less lash perm. I suggest you try it out if you are able to commit to a few months of applying it daily. And it’s sooooooooo much cheaper than a lash lift. I’m still on my first tube too so it’s only cost me $12 to get lash lift effect lashes

    It’s one of the most underrated treatments I do as it makes your lashes look thicker and darker, lasts around 5 years and suits anyone of any age.
    Whilst a lash lift is an amazing treatment to have in conjunction with the lash liner, they should NEVER be done on the same day.

      I always recommend to my clients to my clients to have the lash lift first (about 5-7 days before) so it gives the skin chance to calm down from any of the chemicals used. Also, by having the lash lift first, the impact after your lash line tattoo is at its maximum. 😊

    Your lash line is filled with important ducts that helps to lubricate your eyes and clear your eyes of potentially dangerous debris. Tattooing and disturbing those ducts is not a good idea. It’s even very unhealthy for your eye health to put eyeliner on your waterline, never mind poking it with a needle depositing permanent ink. Please, if you’re watching, DO NOT DO THIS. Talk to your ophthalmologist, an eye health expert, to learn just how dangerous this stuff is. It’s not worth risking your vision. You only get two eyeballs in this life and you can’t replace them.

    Looks so lovely, Tina!
    Got my eyelashes lift done last year and unfortunately it went really bad. My lashes were curled at first. But the next morning, they were dry and fried af. They curled up in every direction and looked sooo wonky. The beautician told me it was because my lashes hair were too thin. So, the chemical might be too harsh she said. Sidenote, my lashes are on the longer, fuller side but kinda straight. My lashes are anything but thin. I did put on serum daily. Idk maybe the product used was of lower quality.. I was traumatized until now.

    • @Its.Jessica.
      @Its.Jessica. Před 5 měsíci +11

      This almost sounds like the lash technician made a mistake and didn’t properly neutralize the perm solution. Either that or you slept on your face the first night, which can also cause them to look wonky. But the lash technician making a mistake is more likely.

    • @youwokeuplate
      @youwokeuplate Před 5 měsíci +5

      She over processed your lashes. My technician told me a lot of places use the strongest chemicals for the fasted processing time, to get people in and out quicker, but it’s dangerous. She uses a gentle solution that takes longer to process, but is safer and said no one has ever over processed.

    • @annehe5775
      @annehe5775 Před 5 měsíci +3

      It sounds like the beautician didn't do the procedure properly or used a low quality product. I have thick, straight Asian lashes and have been getting them lifted regularly for over a year with no damage at all, even without applying serums. If the neutralizing step is applied correctly there should be no damage to your lashes. Another possibility for them being wonky is if you get them wet within 24 hrs.

    • @awu111
      @awu111 Před 4 měsíci

      You should try using a lash growth serum instead. I use the ordinary one and my lashes started growing upwards. I used to do lash lifts on my eyes too but now I don’t even need a lash curler and I can use non waterproof mascara! I used to have straight Asian lashes.

    In UA lash lift is very common procedure and costs about 15-25$ based on salon level. It’s get really popular here like 7 years ago, so it’s very interesting to see how much it costs/how the progress is going in other countries.
    Eyeliner tattoo costs from 50 to 100$, but as it got popular 10+ years ago, lots of masters are unqualified still as they appeared to cover the demand.

      @@HauTran-sunfromsouth
      Up to my point, if we are talking about prices, what’s matter is quality, not the price. I don’t get why people should complain about that if it’s too high, as it’s:
      1. Not life-matter
      2. Quality costs money
      I had bad experience once and needed to grow lashes for 6 months (believe me it sucks).
      In eastern Europe prices will be cheaper just because we have lower average salary etc and also there is no strict policy about confirming your practice or allowance to do this or that kind of procedure.
      I totally respect Korean market, and Asian market as it is, cause it’s more human-oriented. Manual work here (UA, not US) is not cherished, and it makes me sad.
      Related to popularity for lifting in Asia I only knew it the first time, so was surprised, but I believe you know better.
      BTW, I really don’t like the idea here to be oriented on US standards mostly (I mean beauty style and procedure style), as I strongly believe and see how many new technologies are around the world and it’s nice to have variety and common experience

As for the tattoo, what colour did she use? Had my one done in London in last year and was told the colour should not be black ( can't remember what it is called now) and the line should not go all the way into the corner of the eye ( towards nose) so once considering the both, it will look more nature in everyday look if anyone is interested. Don't forget to do patch test ladies just in case!

    Do they only do the eyeliner tattoo in black? For example, if black would look too harsh on your skin, do they offer a brown or dark brown option instead? I'm just curious.

      They have all color for you chose
      Dark brown in okay
      But in long term it will fade away & it turn out dirty brown or tiny reddish 😅😅
      It not give beautiful affect in long term if compare to black
      You can ask for mix black & dark brown, they gonna do it.
      Dark brown mix little tiny of black turn out beautiful too
      Hope this help

      Be careful, browns are color mixes and the orange component lasts much longer than the rest and looks awkward unless you repeat the treatment. If it suits you, grey is better.

      Honestly I'd have to disagree. In close up photos of just the eye it's probably always noticeable, but even standing face to face it looks like thick lashes. Men tend to have much fuller lashes, so you can just look at photos of dudes with dark, thick hair and their lash line typically looks like a solid black line.

    The stark contrast between the upper waterline and black doesn’t look great imo.
    No matter how thin you do lines, I’m pretty sure ink will bleed as you age, my mum had thin tattoo eyeliner done when she was younger but as she’s gotten older and her eyes have gotten more wrinkled + the eye skin is not as tight, the ink bled out a lot. You can’t really remove tattoos fully around the eyes either.
    Just get the lash perms regularly and use a good waterproof dark brown liner (that doesn’t look as harsh) in your waterline. It takes maybe 10 seconds max to tight line so it’s not all that time saving.

    Wait have regulations changed? Or is this just a legal thing in Korea? I also may need to get some updated info on laws, but when I was getting my esthetic license, only medical estheticians or dermatologists could perform this procedure. That said, I've definitely heard of people getting this done at a tattoo parlor, but not for the waterline and onle on the lashline on the lid.
    The waterline is techincally not part of the epidermis and is therefore considered an internal part of the body, at which point it is considered a surgery and not a tattoo.
    With that said though, I think Korean training and standards are significantly higher than here in the states, but this still doesn't seem like a service that should be so easily accessible outside of a board certified dermatologist setting. That's not to discredit tattoo artists at all. They go through so much training and like estheticians have to go through sanitation, hygenine and skin training. But even so, and I know I'll get backlash for this, their education on skin itself is not as intricate or biology based as it would be for us estheticians or a derm. However (ugh so many caviots in this lol) simultaneously, I don't know anything about tattooing or the ink they use in shop. And when working on a leg or forearm, I can't really comment. But when dealing with mucosal skin it's not the same makeup of skin that is usually tattooed. Our lips, inner nostrils, water line, and tmi but anal and urinal tracts are mucosal skin. You can even feel the distinction in your lips. The skin on the outside of your skin vs the inner lip is very very different. They need to be treated differently.
    Now again, I'm not a tattoo artist, so for all I know an inner lip tattoo might not require different ink and needles than a lip liner tattoo on the vermilion border. However, eyes are totally different. In addition to my esthetic license I'm also a makeup artist, and there is a reason we don't put liquid liner on the waterline. The skin there is not the same as on our lids. It's the reason why a lot of brands have a liner specifically for the waterline and formulated for mucosal skin.
    I'm definitely ranting, but as a pro in the field I'm very passionate about this and both want answers to some questions I have about this service at this spa, but also to encourage other self care baddies to step back and ask questions and do research. And I say that in regards to my own content as well.
    While I am an actual professional in the field, please don't take my word as gospel. Go read up and fact check. And in that lens, it's why I repeatedly phrased things as "for all I know" or "from my experience".
    I'm not a Korean citizen, I didn't go through their school system for skincare, and not everything that works for me will work for you. Safety however is (to some degree) universal, and from my time in school and post graduation working in the field at some luxury spas, but also at some medical spas under a derms practice insurance, I have never seen this done outside of a medical spa and never performed by anyone other than a medical esthetician or a cosmetic dermatologist.
    I want to again stress the difference. Any tattoo artist can perform semi permanent microbalding, winged liner, lip liner, and even freckles. But these services all target the epidermis or vermilion border in the case of lips. Even outside of cosmetic beauty and medicine, it's is generally recognized that mucosal membranes of the body are not external.
    I know many of you will roll your eyes at my comment (mostly cause it's so long which I can even recognize is way too much lol) but please do your research before getting this done. Especially in the states where your only option for getting it done is at a tattoo shop and not a medi spa - unless you live in LA or NYC

      Also I LOVE Tina and have been a sub for a decade so to those commentors looking to start beef for no reason - go to a Jeffree Star video (oops I didn't say that lol) but jokes aside this was not an attack on Tina, I love her content and while she has some of the widest range of knowledge on skin and beauty of any influencer I watch - she is not a licensed nail tech, cosmetologist, nor an esthetican. So I didn't think this was even a factor in her mind when making this. Please don't think this was negative towards her at all. Only esthes and derms in our field would even know there is an issue with this. This was done very safely but I would advise going to your dermatologist, optometrist and specifically your ophthalmologist before pursuing this procedure
