While doing some research for her own line of pet products, Ellen came across some strange - but completely real - items that you can buy for your canine companion.

I used to have a pet rooster named earthla. He was was so sweet, and he was a cuddly type. He also liked to run around outside, and watched tv with me. But I don’t think he would approve of the chicken vest.
Ok I live out in a rural area where chickens roaming all over the property is quite normal. Thus chickens DO roam into the road as well and sadly some do get hit. So safe to say if a person has a PET chicken..and many people do..then I can only guess one might roam out into the road. And goodness knows we don't want our pets getting hit by motor vehicles. 😊 But my chickens DONT wear reflective vests...they are just farm animals here 😊 LOL 🐔🐶🐐🐺
She clearly hasn’t drove through the back roads in the country! People let their chickens run wherever they like, which is mostly in the road. I saw that and actually thought that’s a pretty good idea.

I think anyone who owns a chicken would totally understand the chicken vest. a lot of chicken owners actually take them out for short walks and also chickens usually live outside so this vest would allow you to see them better. i dont know why its such a joke to some people? seems like common sense to me! but then again I am a bird person so I understand... and speaking of birds, my little disabled parrot IS CRAZY OBSESSED WITH CROC SHOES for some unknown reason!! I have seen that croc bed before and I thought about getting it for her for Christmas. right now she has her own pair of crocs (they are little parrot chew toys) and she snuggles with it so I think she would enjoy the bed LOL
So you know the (real!) story of Polly the chicken? Polly always jumped over the little fence of her farmer to take a walk on the street next to the farm. Her owner was always worried about her, of course he didnt want her to die because of an accident. So the farmer bought a reflection west for his Polly and now, she can always be seen by drivers and she's secure. That's the story why we need wests for chickens!😂😅😊
