God blessed me. My life has been saved by Volvo twice in 1994 I had one of the deadliest Road Accident I was in my GL740 Volvo and I am safe in 2004 another bad crash I was in my Volvo XC90. And I am safe again if it was any other car I wouldn’t be writing this message today. So a million thanks 🙏 to Volvo and Sweden for the greatest innovation. And I owned at least 25 Volvo’s since then. I love it 👍🏻
25 Volvos is too much for me,maybe someday i could afford one.😥
We bought an XC90 a few years ago through Volvo's overseas delivery program, and under that program we got to fly to Gothenburg to pick the car up from the factory, and in addition, we were given a tour of the factory, so we saw all these steps in the production line. Great car, great tour, great experience!

Many people do not know about such a program. BMW, MB, Porsche have the same program with several benefits like full EU insurance for 1 month and your choice of port to export your vehicle to USA.
Lately what I'm hearing is that many benefits have been discontinued.
The next Volvo you buy, you will likely fly to China to pick the car up

My love for Volvo automobiles is endless I would not have any other car for my loved ones!!! I treasure the fact that Volvo and Sweden strive for safety!!! My personal wish would be to be an celebrity so I could make bragging rights for such an awesome automobile!!!!!!!
The only car that is not rusting. Volvo developed a special technic that completely stops rust.

@@bonhamcarter4488 I'm not jealous? It was more an open option for some to look at for some who want one, but cannot afford new. Lease returns are how i got my current and previous Volvo's and they've been fantastic both in coniditon and quality, one for almost 10 years and the other close to 6 months

Outstanding and lean manufacturing engineering principles. A hybrid approach to automation and manual therapy. I drove a 2004 XC90 2.5T FWD the first generation for 18 straight years without a single major or minor accident. The family loved it so much (this was a gift to my wife on her Master of Science degree graduation).

I like that these cars do not change their designs very often. It speaks to their commitment to classic design, safety, and build quality. While yes, the Germans offer lots more in terms of tech, the Volvo is like that watch that keeps looking good year after year. This is my second XC90 (2013, 2023)

I bought a 1984 VolvoDL new an drove it for 16 years. Great car!!
I have a 1998 S70 I bought in 2002 and it has been garage kept and still in mint condition. 64k miles at purchase. 192k miles on it now 19 years later.

Man, brings back memories, I worked at Torslanda for 5 years, I moved on in 2008 I believe. Saw my old line where they put on doors amongst other things, thought I recognized a few peeps.

I have heard that Volvo plant in Gothenburg, will manufacture only Electric and Hybrid cars after this summer. The strong demand for E-cars will actually increase the amount of employees required and add over 500 new jobs in the Port of Gothenburg.
Volvo has not been producing pure combustion engine cars, for over a year, in each of their factories. Volvo’s near future is all-electric. For me the reason to quit with Volvo!

They don't build EV's in the Torslanda-plant at all. The current XC40 Recharge EV and upcomming C40 are both CMA-platform vehicles and Torslanda only builds SPA-platform vehicles. But all MY2021 cars are either EV, hybrid or mild-hybrid, exept for cars in the US, the regular IC is still offered there for now.

Even putting together a Volvo is better than other cars, especially GM & FCA. Driving my XC90 is an absolute thrill and I wouldn’t buy another car brand again.

I’ve had 7 Volvos. 4 DL sedans and wagons, a 940, 2 S60s, and I’m about to get an XC90. This video was so cool. I never knew how automated the process was. Two of mine hit 200,000 miles.

It's a human scale factory. Automation is here, but where it's necessary in harsh environment and for hard efforts reducing. Excellent quality obtained because of excellent work conditions and environment. That's Swedish Volvo.
It usually doesn't make sense to automate everything, because automation is quite expensive, and if the products vary often or production must be flexible, it only adds a lot of overhead to automate too far. Automate those things that are easy to automate or where it is truly more efficient, and give good tools for other things like lifting heavy weights, etc. that seems to be the best receipt so far.

@@dmitrykudryashov2515 Yes I agree they are important. They do influence quality for profit, but it is still Swedish engineers and designer. It's probably been the same people this whole time, just new bosses. Also a giant company like Geely probably can get cheap parts buying in bulk. I don't think they bought Volvo for a profit but for the patents, infrastructure, and knowledge.
