  • I first was introduced to this style of fly by Wayne Jones, he had sent me some flies to photograph for the Fly Shop. I really liked the style and have put my own twist on the fly with colours and materials that have worked well in other flies.
This pattern is unproven but to my eye its got killer written all over it.

    Nice crunchers Lindsay.
I don't have bug wrap but my UTC pearl ice blue will definitely do the trick.
I like using that over my stripped peacock quill when I do a quilled cruncher.
    Keep em coming!!!
    ATB Chris.

Lindsay , thanx , another nice fly , well I've tied this fly but I didn't have any legs tied so I tied about a dozen or so made from the bristles of a 1 1/2 " black nylon brush , there easy to ty n I think they'll last a lil longer life to this fly , you probably Kno this already but I don't think you'll mind thanx again for another great fly , stay healthy n keep um coming 👍

Top tip Wan, I like paint brush bristles for tailing on spinners.

I have a suggestion for using the waste from the legs of hoppers etc bag them and save for use when any Midas type patterns are needed

Been enjoying your videos. Thank you. I must ask, what kind of vise are you using? I am really intrigued.

Thank you, It is a Jan Tvrdek Rotary Vice sadly he is no longer making them. The one I am using is great the only drawback is I wanted to start tying Tube flies and it does not really lend itself to this. Other than the I really love this vice.

@@lindsayiflyfish I think an adaptor for tube flies can be made. Would you be interested in looking into it with me? if so, let me know. hmalandain@gmail.com

@@simon-fly3516 I will more than likely just pick up another vice. Getting stuff made cost a lot of money.
