Can you move your mortgage when you move house?

When you want to move house the obvious thing to do is just go to your current mortgage lender and talk to them about moving right?
Wrong! You need to speak to a mortgage broker. A mortgage broker will be able to help you if it is best to stay with your lender but more importantly, a mortgage broker will be able to check if that is the best thing for you.
So many times I have helped people move and for various reasons we have had to swap lenders! It could be affordability, it could just be a better deal
Either way you should never just go to your existing lender!
