The Bellagio buffet was the best on the strip when Steve Wynn ran the joint, but really went downhill when the MGM beancounters took over, glad to see they are upping their game, great video
@@lasvegaseats702 Hi, just checking in to see if everything is going well with you? You haven’t posted for awhile I’m missing seeing your videos. Sending you positive vibes my friend have a wonderful day 😎😊
@@lasvegaseats702 you’re welcome. Just know you are going through a season of time & even though it’s hard on you right now. You will get through this & be better at the end 😊
This was one of the buffets (actually the first buffet) that I visited upon arrival in Vegas. I was at a Sunday brunch with mimosas and champagne included. I thought it was great. They had a Chilean sea bass dish that was amazing. I thought it was a pretty awesome buffet.
The last time I ate at the Bellagio buffet, back in 2012, it seemed very tired. The food was decent, but it seemed like what they had was exactly the same as they’d had during other visits in previous years. It just felt tired. I’m glad to see they’re both picking up their game and following the trend of having items pre-dished instead of just having everything in steaming trays or chilled trays. Personally, I believe that helps to get people to try things they might not otherwise. When you can try something and only have four or five bites if it, it invites experimenting and reduces the guilt of not cleaning a plate if it ends up being something you don’t like. I understand you can do that just as easily by not getting as large an amount from a full tray but this just makes it a lot more convenient. And it helps elevate the buffet j to the standards being set by others.
👍 2012 was way too long ago. Bellagio (as well as others) change quite a bit. Sometimes it was so bad I wouldn't go for months. Then it would change and it would be great for awhile. It's been pretty good lately. Except that prices are up everywhere.
Over the years I have enjoyed the Bellagio buffet. I appreciate that they have made improvements, and the food mostly looked great! I have only one minor complaint: almost every food you showed on camera has been on the menu for close to a decade. Don’t get me wrong, every buffet has expected staples such as meats, pastas, pizza, breads, salads, etc. But the last time I went to their buffet was in 2017, and I could visualize almost all the food items served now from my memories of the past. I could count new food items on one hand. It’s still a lovely buffet, just needs a bit more imagination.
Yeah, they've had those items for years. But the Chilean Sea Bass made a reappearance cuz it was missing for awhile. But you're right, same items. Still a large selection. I usually rotate Bellagio, Wynn, and Bacchanal
No crab legs. Maybe the first time in 20+ years they excluded the (King or Snow or Dungeness) crab legs. Octopus 🐙 salad looks promising. Fresh oysters look great. Prime rib has good marbling. Slow-roasted? I hope. What most people do not know is most of the food is prepared in the commissary downstairs (which serves all 13 restaurants (was told of the count several years ago). My personal rating: Value (9/10), Quality (TBD) and Ambiance (10/10). I’m planning a visit very soon! Restaurant is closed from 4-5pm, which means get in line at least 30 minutes before the start of dinner! When the 5pm dinner starts, the restaurant will fill-up the empty seats. Been going to this buffet for about 24 years now, but consider myself an amateur buffet-ologist.
I got in line at 4:25pm, they open at 5pm. There was only about 10 ahead of me. But in 5 minutes, the line grew pretty long... around the corner. Just made it.
I try not to get dessert and bulk up on meat and seafood, but those donuts looked super yummy. I k now they're cheap to make, but ugh, I can't resist them.
Yes this looks a lot better than I remember. Me and my friends went there many years ago and it was pretty bad for the price that they charge. Food was mediocre at best. Great video as always!
Just went there a few days ago and I think they still have work to do to get the quality back up. The prime rib was pretty tasteless. I was disappointed.
We stayed in belaggio hotel last week and the Buffett was very disappointing. No flavor to the food, and prime rib was overcooked and tough. Way overpriced at $60 per person plus tip. Worst buffet tasting food we’ve ever had
Buffets are usually not good. And Bellagio for me has been hit or miss, and quality fluctuated a lot in the past. But a buffet is what it is. Much better at restaurants.
Used to eat at the Planet Hollywood buffet several years ago. Included crab legs. Price was around $35. Those were the good old days. I can't even fathom paying $65.

Thank you. But I'm a bit tired of the whole thing. We'll see...
Great review .......... The Sea Bass does look soooo good ............
Thx!
Looks wonderful! I gotta get there! Thanks for the looksee!
👍
There is so much good food there, but those fish and chips looked so good to me.
👍
I thought the same thing it was glistening and so fresh for a buffet 😋
I really enjoy this buffet. Like to make the walk over from Bally's while checking out the WSOP

Well, yea, did you think they cook. It all behind the counter of the Buffet?

Yeah I agree, it's a buffet quality prime rib
I LOVE Chilean Sea Bass. It's my favorite, but it's also on the 'endangered' species list from over fishing, so I regrettably have to pass...:-(

Stay away from the Palms AYCE buffet. The Golden Corral makes the AYCE look bad. 😂
👍
Oysters 👍 who needs sub par crab legs?
Good point! 👍
What's going on we haven't seen any of your videos. Are you okay did something happen to you?
Been tired from work. I might put one out this weekend. Also real busy with a lot of other things. And trying to rest when I have free time.
Been eating here since 2008
👍
Cute
1😛
Whoa, they have Patagonian Toothfish? That's super yummy, so fatty and tasty.
I guess. I couldn't tell the difference. But it tasted good. 😆
Bellagio really have to removed the stinky carpet for their buffet........
food is great but the carpet smells....
You smelled the carpet? 😆
@@lasvegaseats702 Exactly what I thought. Interesting.
Lol!
Probably no king crab because its extremely expensive this year due to fisherie closers
Not talking about king crab. Just regular snow crab. Bacchanal has crab, Jonah claws, and even lobster claws.
