  • Orlaya, Foxgloves, Godetia, Anemones & Ranunculus with Jonathan Leiss
Would you like to grow gorgeous godetia and orlaya flowers on taller plants with longer stems? Today, Layne is joined again by Jonathan Leiss of Spring Forth Farm to continue discussing the seven cool-season annual crops his farm will be growing next year and the advantages of growing these flowers in tunnels. Episode 53 (part 1) featured snapdragons and scabiosa 'Fama', and today's episode (part 2) features the remaining five crops - orlaya, foxgloves, godetia, anemones, and ranunculus. Layne and Jonathan cover each crop's significance, favorite varieties, differences growing in tunnels versus the field, plant spacing, succession planting, general bloom time, the expected number of stems per plant, harvesting tips, and more. Listen to the podcast and learn how to grow and harvest these five beautiful cool-season flowers, whether you grow in tunnels or in the field!

Our Dara grew 10ft tall on our front lawn and now it pops up in cracks of our driveway literally every other day. I’m zone 10b so it grows year around surprisingly.

😯Oh my goodness - that is quite tall, but somehow it does not surprise me! I bet it is easy for you to imagine how tall Jonathan's plants must have been in his tunnels 😂 Thanks so much for sharing your experience with everyone, and have a fantastic day 🤗

GREAT INFO! BUT would like him to talk a bit slower, he speeds through his answerer with a guttural , speaking through his throat rather than his diaphragm to command his speech and a good mic, would cut the echo/tunnel chamber effect . You have great speakers on but I notice that the quality of the talks are impaired. I could not buy the course and put up listening to the sound of this or like voices for hours. Sorry its not to criticize but to help you improve quality .
