When the instruments play together, it's supposed to build up into a ka-POW finish but the remake just has the same tone throughout. No build up. Just bland. All of the remakes songs feel that way. Just another proof that older video game music is just superior to the new in most cases

A couple versions of area songs feel like enhanced versions or just cleaned up with a better audio engine but most are just worse.
So intimidating! This should be considered a bowser battle theme, and it should totally ebb played in the new smash bros game obviously in a medley with two other songs.

All other bosses, with the exception of Smithy, the final boss, have the "Fight Against an Armed Boss" music in their battles.
I had the same exact thought! Like I’m really excited and the music is still better than most out there, but something about the new arraignment/sound of this theme seemed off for me.
This is one of those songs that lives rent free in my head. I just start whistling it spontaneously some days.

What is the difference between this and the "Fight against an armed boss" theme? I mean thy obviously sound different, but when do each of them play?
Armed bosses are usually the ones that have the star road shards

Armed Boss theme is for members of the Smithy Gang since most of them are "armed" as in made of weapons.
