The dumbest thing is how the reporters ask questions. "Hey fighter, you have x and your opponent has y. You're gonna do b and c to keep y from happening, and implement your x. How do you plan on doing b and c and putting your x against your opponents y?"
They basically formulate a marketable answer, spell it out, and leave the fighter to basically say "yeah that"
It's because a lot of the "journalists" main goal is to become the star of the press conference and have a news story written about them.

Your comment about the quality of work the media did at the Press Con is spot on. Sadly, the sports media covering MMA is lacking in depth and don't measure up with the exciting and very dynamic sport that they cover. It would be better to have the fight fans ask the questions instead.
