  • Why should you publish wider than just Amazon KDP and utilise other POD distributors like IngramSpark? In this video, I show you EXACTLY WHY I publish wider with over $100K in Book Sales by using the platform.
    IngramSpark is a great platform for self-publishing authors to expand their distribution and increase book sales. With access to a global distribution network of over 40,000 retailers, libraries, and schools, your book will be available to a wider audience than ever before.
    One key factor to take into consideration is the ISBN. Remember, you are NOT Permitted to use the Free ISBN that KDP provides you when uploading your book. You need to purchase your own unique ISBN for each book you upload to IngramSpark.

    Thank you for this video! 👊✹ A question: is it advantageous to use your own purchased ISBN-nr and publish on both Amazon and IngramSpark for the same book? Is this possible, or must I purchase a separate ISBN-nr for each platform? Thanks!

    • @globalselfpublishing
      @globalselfpublishing  Pƙed 6 měsĂci

      Best to purchase your own and upload the book to both platforms as long as it’s the ‘exact’ same book. Eg. Same title, subtitle, author, book type etc.

      Thanks for the feedback. You could publish Activity books but just double check the Catelog Integrity guidelines or even contact IngramSpark directly and show them an example and see what their response is?

    Romney - is Ingram Spark primarily for the US / North American market? I’m just wondering if it’s the best fit for the UK publishers?

    • @globalselfpublishing
      @globalselfpublishing  Pƙed rokem +1

      I do sell most of my books on Ingram to the US Market. Just say I sold 500 books in a month on Ingram, the breakup would be 400 US, 70 UK and 30 AUS. Hope that helps.

    I've watched about 49 videos on Ingram Spark in the last two days. It appears they are constantly changing pricing. I uploaded my children's book - it didn't cost me a dime. But the ISBN cost $85. If I wanted to be in their catalog it would have been an extra $150. I didn't do the catalog. I ordered a copy of my book as I want to see the quality. I found the site to NOT user friendly. Huge learning cover that I didn't master. I hope I got everything correct. There doesn't seem to much customer service help available. With that said, the possibilities seem worth the risk. Fingers crossed.

      Oh! Thank you for taking the course. It's all about creating better books. Unless the books are really high quality, there's not much you can do to increase book sales on IngramSpark. You could potenially increase the Wholesale Discount to 55% to encourage more of a discount to bookstores to stock your book/s.

    Hey,
    I started publishing in the US market late 2022, I am now making 8k/month but everyday I feel stressed and anxious because I invested a lot of money into tools, books, promotions, reviews services, graphic designers, all the lead magnet and freebies... It is satisfactory for sure but I am now at a point where I am questioning my choices in life...i am now seeing more terminations of accounts than ever and KDP is very big... I opened my LLC and I am waiting my EIN number to arrive so I can buy cheap ISBN from the US (In my country they are very expensive), I will publish on Draft 2 Digital and Ingramspark, but still with the AI the market will be super saturated so I don't see this business as viable long term, I am therefore thinking to devoting less time to self-publishing and allocate a couple of hours per day trying to start a new business such as maybe drop shipping, white label or e-commerce, while growing my account, go wide, and open another one using a nominee (my mother), I just wanted to know your thoughts ... Am I paranoid? Should I scale to 100-150k/month before moving to something else? What should I do? I am scared that the time, energy effort I put into growing this business is not a wise investment long term and that probably my energy would be better spent somewhere else in building something for the long term

    • @globalselfpublishing
      @globalselfpublishing  Pƙed rokem +1

      Firstly, congratulations on your success to date. An excellent acheivement. I completley understand your dilemma as I too faced a similar challenge a couple of years back. Too many eggs in the one basket can cause sleepless nights so diversification is crucial. It's like when people want more and more money but the more money they have can cause greater money complications and they spend more time worrying about money than when they didn't have as much!
      I suggest you create a plan to develop multiple streams of income over the next 12 - 18 months to dilute your risk with just KDP. Eg. you could have KDP, IngramSpark, Draft2Digital, Affiliates, Stocks, create an online course etc..etc. This will help you to absorb any issues should one of the incomes streams turn off. Think of it like having multiple dripping taps that are filling buckets with water. You want to have lots of buckets filling with water because if one bucket tips over and empties, you still have your other buckets that continue to fill 24/7, 365 days.
      I hope all of that assists. Kind Regards, Romney

    Hello sir can you please help me what are the trending books and kids books on Ingramspark? Actually I am new to Ingramspark

    • @globalselfpublishing
      @globalselfpublishing  Pƙed rokem +1

      IngramSpark is a distributor of books and not an online bookstore like Amazon therefore it doesn't have 'trending' books.
