A great tip to really flatten toilet rolls -iron them -works perfectly
I pull the cardboard roll out of the toilet paper when I get it home from shopping.
That way I do not have to sanitize them. No one but me uses my bathroom off my bedroom so no one complains about my floppy toilet rolls. I love your tutorials.
Hope there's more videos like this one that are very elegant!

Sweet! If you iron the tubes with a hot iron, Gi, they get really flat very quickly! You might need to add some glue at the seams once you iron, and it's the best way I know to flatten the tubes.

Little booklet/journal is so cute.
I have a flattening idea you have probably used. I bought really thick fussy cuts from Etsy which arrived bowed and warped which might make them difficult to glue to cards. Someone suggested running them through my die cut machine. 🤔🤔(Haven't done it yet.)

I’m making this for my friends 94 birthday celebration. I’m going to make pockets, some out of sheet music, since we sang together for years. I threw my guillotine paper cutter into donation box. Really heavy and hard to use. Which one do you use? I need to make my crafting easier. Thanks for sharing all your ideas. I love them.

Beautiful idea I ♥️ it. Gi I use hug seam binding but it Frey's at the ends when cut. Does your binding frey❓️
Thank you, if you cut your seam binding on an angle, I find it does not fray as much. Hugs GI x
what kind of paper is it that you put in the middle? Do we have to buy it?
For the pages in the book I have used tea stained paper that I made but you can you any paper you have. Hugs Gi x

Hi Gi, I have a question for you. Is each paper doubled or are they each individual sheets. I can’t tell. I’ve made 13 covers so far but haven’t added the paper yet because I’m unsure. Thank you for your help I appreciate it:)
what sort of needle do you use in your machine so it wont break?
I use just a standard needle that came with the machine. I am not sure what size it is. Hugs Gi x

This is gross and should not be done. Toilet paper rolls have bacteria on them from aerosolizing fecal waste when flushing; it gets into the air and on surfaces. My daughter is a nurse and told me using toilet paper rolls is gross.
If you ironed them flat, would the heat from the iron sanitize the cardboard rolls?🧻

And I close the toilet lid before flushing because of the aerosolizing issue.
